An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Cardiology team. As part of the launch for our new service, Heart Valve Disease (HVD) we are looking for a confident motivated indiviual to join our team.

To providing a comprehensive admin service to the Cardiology team. The service requirements include ensuring that all of the relevant appointments are booked following Trust policy. Relevant paperwork is correct and up to date, E-referrals, outpatient waiting list, typing, diary management, clinic management and dealing with patient queries.
• To ensure, wherever possible, that all documentation is up-to-date, in an orderly fashion and available whenever decisions are being made, reporting exceptional circumstances where necessary. This will require:
- Effective collaboration with all relevant personnel to maintain an efficient administrative system; building good working relationships with appropriate internal and external Departments, planning and monitoring activity levels to ensure optimum use of staff resources, reporting related issues to the Admin Manager. Manipulation and distribution of appropriate correspondence.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, flexible and self-motivated registered nurse to join our friendly, dynamic Research and Development Research Nursing Teams. Together with other team members the post holder will provide a Research Nursing Service for the Oncology/Haematology Department based at UHCW.

The post holder will work predominantly on Oncology and Haematology research studies .

The post holder will work collaboratively with Leading Principal Investigators, Research team and the wider multidisciplinary team to provide an opportunity for patients to participate in research studies. The Research Sister/Charge nurse will lead on complex studies and manage a caseload of their own together with supporting other studies within the bounds of their registration. They will be expected to participate in the recruitment of patients into clinical research, including clinical trials of drugs and new interventions within set time limits. When working on clinical trials he/she will monitor the patients and observe for side effects reporting according to set protocols. An important aspect of the role is the maintenance of accurate and comprehensive records of data derived from the research studies. Therefore the post holder will require excellent documentation, organisational and time management skills.

The post holder will work in conjunction with other team members ensuring all research undertaken within the department safeguards the well-being of the participants and is conducted within the research governance framework.

Whilst previous experience in clinical research would be an advantage, applications are welcomed from candidates with solid nursing experience and who can show evidence of continuing professional development and a willingness to learn.

8. Assist in the education and support of other health care professionals to enable them to
care for patients participating in clinical trials or other research studies.
9. Respond to change in line with the needs of the service
