Provides evidence based therapeutic interventions in encounters with Veterans to promote recovery and successful transition to community living and care. Duties:

The incumbent serves as a Supervisory Health Systems Specialist (Credentialing and Privileging Manager). They oversee all functions related to healthcare providers' professional credentials supporting all divisions of the VA Medical Center (VAMC). The Incumbent is responsible for working collaboratively with local and VISN leadership to identify and/or implement best practices and advising VAMC leadership of all program requirements pertaining to the C&P program. • Ensuring national level reporting requirements are accurately completed including, but not limited to, quarterly security reports, quarterly accuracy certification of the Our Provider's website, and accuracy of the VA/DoD shared provider registry.
• Monitoring C&P program resources to ensure programs are appropriately staffed.
• Serving as a liaison and partner with Human Resources Service programs for common program goals and issues including, but not limited to, provider onboarding, provider exit reviews and assessments, privileging actions, and guidance related to clinical performance concerns.
• Responsible for ensuring quality assurance in the facility's C&P program; applying organizational and system-wide strategies for continuous quality improvement as they relate to C&P processes and procedures.
• Serves as the administrator for the National Practitioner Data Bank, Federation of Medical Boards, and Our Providers Database.

• Conducts community assessments to identify physical, mental, social and/or environmental deviations from the normal, responses and attainments of outcomes, using nursing skills of assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning intervention and evaluation.
• Conducts nursing conferences or specialty clinics using nursing physical assessment and diagnosis with treatment procedures according to standing orders
• Counsels patients and/or families in the home, community, school and clinic regarding acute and chronic conditions and the application of health promotion and disease prevention practices

• As Assistant Supervisory Nurse, supervises, manages, coordinates and evaluates the nursing program for Perioperative Unit. Organizes, directs, reviews work, administers personnel matters, counseling, disciplinary action, scheduling, and overall management activities.
• Develops and implements Nursing Standards of Care, includes compliance with accreditation and certification requirements. Maintains records for patient assignments, census, and chart reviews. This includes orientation of each employees as competency, evaluation, training, safety, infection control, and compliance with mandatory orientation requirements.
• Collaborates with all subordinates, peers, superiors, internal and external customers to achieve the goals and missions of the facility and the Indian Health Service.
• Performs a wide range of nursing care for patients in all age groups and their families who present an unlimited range of different health related problems. Observes and assesses the patient's clinical condition - conditions and interprets data from the patient's history and physical assessment. Based on interpretation of data, decides appropriate Nursing action to be taken. Informs the physician of the patient's status. Operates and monitors specialized equipment. Administers therapeutic measures as prescribed by the physician.
