Main duties of the job
• Abide by the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) standards of conduct, ethics and performance as well as standards for registered pharmacies, observing and applying all professional, ethical and legal obligations.
• Ensure that the Outpatient Pharmacy service is patient focused, responsive and appropriate and that the professional image of the department is upheld at all times.
• Work in the Outpatient pharmacy by undertaking responsibilities required as per JD including ensuring that medicines are dispensed in a legal, efficient and accurate way and that appropriate clinical and other checks have been carried out.
• Ensure patients are given appropriate counselling and information, regarding their medicines. To counsel patients on the use of their medicines if necessary.
• Provide professional leadership with the support of the Principal Pharmacist Outpatients in the pharmacy, ensuring all pharmacy practice, including their own, is within the boundaries described within the latest version of the Medicines, Ethics and Practice issued by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society and General Pharmaceutical Council.
• Ensuring individual patient needs are met and appropriate actions are taken to resolve issues and complaints as they arise.
• Participate in the clinical pharmacy service as appropriate includingparticipation in the late duty, seven day, bank holiday and on-call rotas.

Senior Staff Nurse/Charge Nurse Paediatric Day Surgery
Band 6

Paediatric day surgery, are looking for an experienced Paediatric nurse to join their team as a Deputy Sister/charge nurse.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and versatile individual to join us, where there will be opportunities to develop and extend skills across the whole department including pre and post-operative care.

The applicant must have an interest in day surgery, good communication and leadership skills, and experience in managing small teams. You will need to be flexible and able to contribute to the delivery of a high standard family-centred care. We are a dedicated day surgery unit which has our own theatre, procedure room and recovery area on the same floor as our pre and post-operative ward. We work closely together as a team to ensure the patient and their families experience is of a high-standard throughout day surgery. Our unit consists of a small friendly team and the department has one theatre and a procedure room. We currently offer a variety of surgical procedures to our local community for children and young people up to 18 years of age.

The post holder:

Essential Qualifications:

We are looking a Registered Mental Health Nurse (Band 5) with:

• NMC Registration.
• At least 2 years post-graduate experience.
• 6 months recent NHS experience within the last 3 years.
• The ability to pass an enhanced background check.

• The Community Paediatrics team based in Stafford and Burton are looking for a Band 7 community nurse to support their team on a 3 month placement. The Band 7 nurse would need to be a nurse prescriber.

  • Band 7 RGN required
  • Full time, 5 days a week
  • 9am - 5pm
  • The Bridge, Stafford and Cross Street, Burton
  • To start ASAP for 12 weeks

Job Purpose

• To support the Community Paediatrics Team in the provision of a high quality service to children, young people and their families, who require health assessments, investigation and treatment for children and young people with long term health and neurodisability condition's.
• To provide nurse led clinics for children with identified long terms conditions.
• Provide advice and support to junior staff and learners in all aspects of the delivery of high quality care.
• Provide support, advice and education to children and young people and their families in the management of their care.
• Work closely in partnership with other multi-disciplinary team members to ensure effective care planning and delivery.
