Our Nuffy Bear Day Nursery is seeking an Early Years Educator to be based at Crawley FWC in our Nuffield Health gym.

As an Early Years Educator, you will be part of a team who offer full day care, sessional care plus a Pre-School for children aged from 3 months to 5 years.

The successful candidate will be part of a small team intent on driving the implementation of national best practice guidance for lower limb care. We hold a unique position in the south east cost where lower limb traumas are referred within a day of injury which with a prompt assessment and implementation of a robust care plan can reduce the risk of the development of leg ulcers. They will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, implementing, planning and reviewing care needs for the lower limb patient. It is desirable that they are experienced in performing complex Doppler assessments, interpreting ABPI and implementing treatment according to findings. Patients are assessed initially from a photo on referral after which a plan is formulated, putting the patient at the centre of the assessment process. You will need to use clinical expertise and work autonomously, although a weekly MDT discusses more complex patients when needed. You will be expected to attend patients in all environments they may be in, and offering specialist advice to nursing homes, district nurses, practice nurses and acute nurses in their care of their patients. Therefore you must be a confident car driver with UK licence experience, a car is provided during working hours. A candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills,using communication of all forms, and skilled in the use of information technology. Undertake wound therapies, such as negative pressure wound therapy, larval therapy, ABPI assessment and application of compression therapies as required. In cases of larger lower limb wound where good conservative management will still lead to a lengthy healing time, pre-assess patient for skin grafting and provide the initial postoperative care, handing over to community or acute teams when appropriate. The job role also involves visiting patients at home for the QVH, if there is significant reasons the patient can not attend to have a dressing change, so a working knowledge of a variety of plastics procedures is of benefit, but not essential as a period of supernumerary time can be spent with the dressings clinic or wards.

The post holder will be required to work as part of a skilled theatre team to support the provision of an effective and safe clinical service. We are looking for an enthusiastic and resilient Occupational Therapist interested in a career in paediatric Mental Health to join our school to provide intensive specialist support for pupils. We seek a therapist who wants to develop their skills and knowledge in a specialist educational setting from Key Stage 1 and 2. Confidence and experience of working with children with complex Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs is essential.
You will
Be able to provide 1:1, paired and group interventions both in and outside of the classroom setting, in order to meet provision outlined on pupil’s Education, Health and Care Plans
Support the pupils with specific areas of difficulty, and have specific knowledge and experience in developing interventions to target social and psychological needs
Be confident in implementing strategies to manage pupils’ emotional regulation, to increase engagement in learning and develop pupils’ self-esteem
Attend multi-disciplinary meetings and provide training for the Education team, Pupil Support team, Safeguarding team and Therapy team to provide updates on pupil progress, encourage effective sharing of research and knowledge and to develop sound understanding of the needs of the pupils
Be able to advise parents and carers with the management of students’ emotional regulation and sensory needs at home
To participate in the assessment process of the school and to contribute appropriate feedback
Maintain succinct clinical notes, complete relevant assessments highlighting issues of concern to the teams around the pupils and track progress, to ensure pupil data is available to inform future planning.

Rowlands Pharmacy are currently looking for a Trainee Pharmacy Assistant to work in the Addenbrookes Hospital branch.

You will participate in all branch processes and establish relationships with customers, patients as well as healthcare professionals. You will assist in the delivery of all pharmacy services where appropriate. You will be an ambassador for Rowlands Pharmacy serving the community and interacting with customers on a day to day basis.
