As we continue to develop as a Major Trauma Centre and to meet the needs of our complex patient caseload, the Emergency Department is looking to employ a Band 7 Emergency Nurse.
You will be a highly skilled nurse with drive, commitment and a strong sense of leadership to join our innovative team aiming to deliver excellent patient centred care.
This is a unique band 7 role as you will be expected to rotate into every area of the ED whilst also regularly undertaking the roles of Nurse-in-Charge and Emergency Nurse Practitioner. You will also be involved in the streaming of appropriate patients to Primary Care in addition to being given significant areas of managerial responsibility.
If you are a knowledgeable and skilled practitioner in the field of emergency care with significant experience at Band 6 or above, this could be the role for you. Ideally, you will have a recognised Nurse Practitioner qualification (Developing Clinical Skills or equivalent).
You will be able to demonstrate a proven clinical ability at Band 6 or above; be able to manage all aspects of the Emergency Department on a daily basis, including a real understanding of flow and capacity; and the leadership ability to lead and support the department in achieving Trust goals.
You will be expected to understand and promote a fair but demanding culture of continuous improvement among all of our team.
A mentorship or teaching qualification is desirable.
If you have the drive and determination to succeed in a progressive, successful organisation, whilst ensuring that high quality, safe care, underpinned by best practice, is delivered consistently we would like you to apply.
