We are a busy Technical Services Unit within the Pharmacy Department at York Hospital. Our aseptic services unit is a specialised service preparing bespoke chemotherapy, Monoclonal Antibodies as well as some Parenteral Nutrition products and a small range of other IV products.

Suitable candidates would be required to work in a cleanroom environment where duties are interesting and varied. Duties range from cleaning, maintaining, and monitoring of the cleanroom environment and equipment and stock management of drugs and consumables.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a service that works very hard behind the scenes to ensure that patients receive the very best treatment. The team are a friendly, hardworking bunch who are proud in the knowledge that they make a difference to improving the lives of patients.

Accuracy and attention to detail is essential for this position as is a passion for patient care, quality and improvement. Full training will be provided and you will be given the opportunity to undertake further qualifications. Applicants must also hold GCSE’s in maths and English language (or equivalent) at Grades C/4 or above.

You will be required to participate in the aseptic preparation of medicines. This involves working at a pharmaceutical isolator preparing a range of intravenous medication. Full training will be given.

You will also be required to participate in the decontamination and disinfection of the aseptic unit. The aseptic unit is a sterile, clean room environment where the preparation of pharmaceutical products takes place. You will also undertake some environmental monitoring duties which are essential in ensuring that the environment remains in a controlled state.

There are also administration tasks to undertake as well as stock management activities such as stock checks, receipt of stock and expiry date checks. We are looking for a conscientious individual who will take a methodical approach to a task and who appreciates the importance of following procedures.

The entry banding for this role is either a Band 2 or Band 3. This is dependent on prior Pharmacy qualifications and experience. This will be discussed at Interview. Once fully trained and qualified the post will be a Band 3. This is a fulfilling role in itself but it is also a great steppingstone into Pharmacy with many different opportunities for career development.

As a Senior Biomedical Scientist at our Tunbridge Wells Hospital, you'll bring the relevant qualifications and laboratory experience in Histology and multidisciplinary biomedical science. You have a good working knowledge of different analytical equipment in a range of techniques. You're also a natural communicator and team player, and you share our idea of quality.

As a Senior Biomedical Scientist Histology, you will: Have in depth knowledge of Histology to support the training and development of other staff members.

• Carry out and oversee routine histology practices including dissection, microtomy, embedding, manual coverslipping, troubleshooting, validation of reagents and participation in NEQAS.

• Keep records of specimens, results, reagents, and consumables.

• Support the organisation in validating and assessing new histology equipment.

• You will have the opportunity to undertake a management qualification/higher specialist in cell path if desired.

• Assist in the maintenance and improve quality management systems required for UKAS accreditation.

As a Senior Biomedical Scientist you will have:

• To be HCPC registered.

• Relevant laboratory experience in histology with multi-disciplinary biomedical science.

• Extensive histology experience, with knowledge to accompany this at specialist diploma level.

• Good working knowledge of different histological techniques, ideally with dissection experience.

• Good working knowledge of different analytical equipment in a range of multi-disciplinary techniques.

• Good understanding of laboratory processes and day to day running of a laboratory.

• The ability to understand how vital it is to maintain good customer relationships and provide high levels of service in a modern pathology laboratory.

We seek to appoint an enthusiastic CAMHS Senior CBT Therapist to provide a specialist service for young people in the Borough of Bromley within our Generic Team.

The Bromley Generic Team is a friendly, dynamic multidisciplinary team providing assessment and therapeutic interventions, including groups, for young people between the ages of 0-18 years and their families who are experiencing severe and enduring mental health difficulties. The role provides opportunities for brief and long-term therapeutic work as well consultation within the team and to partner agencies. In addition, the role offers opportunities to supervise more junior staff and take a lead on areas identified as priorities for improving our service. The successful candidate will utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research within the area served by the team and service.

Bromley Service Overview:
Bromley CAMHS is part of Oxleas Children and Young Person Directorate. The Trust provides mental health, learning disabilities and community services to the London Boroughs of Bexley, Bromley, and Greenwich. The Trust has consistently achieved high ratings in quality assessments, patient and staff surveys with a culture of supporting staff whilst providing excellent services within a robust clinical governance framework.

Bromley CAMHS is large and comprises of the following teams:
• Adolescent Team including the Early Intervention in Psychosis pathway
