Job purpose

Be supporting role in providing expert nutrition guidance, conducting product training, health talks, and nutritional training programs for our client to improve their knowledge of the company products.   

Duties and responsibilities

Nutritional product training:

• Support assistant manager Nutritionist or Marketing Manager to conduct product training for internal staff (e.g. sales and marketing team and customer service).
• Conduct and implement product training and workshops for organization members and help leaders meet specified performance expectations. Ensure the team is well equipped with product knowledge.
• Assist head of department to develop E-learning modules, product training manuals, digital training materials (e.g. educational cards/ posters, video clips and etc.)

Consumer nutrition education & consultation:

• Provide nutritional consultation and product recommendations to customers according to their health condition and requirements. Offer advice on how to stay healthy and provide support on their progress.
• Support and provide product/health info updates on social media platforms.
• Handle and provide product-related nutritional health information sharing (through face-to-face sessions, incoming calls, emails, and social media enquiry inbox).

Scientific editorial & communication materials:

• Always keep up-to-date on the market trends in terms of product knowledge and the latest nutritional findings.
• Update health articles and manage product information and health tips content on the company website and social media.
• Support marketing E-newsletter content management in relation to customer health and product information.
• Prepare and develop creative and conceptual ideas on marketing nutrition materials to support the sales team based on training needs, available data and research, which includes product brochures, catalogues, advertorials, detailing kits and necessary material based on monthly needs, events, etc.
• Support marketing in researching literature and scientific reviews in related to active ingredients as compared to competitor brands.

Requirements and skills

1. Any degree in Nutrition/ Dietetics/Community Health or equivalent.
2. At least 2 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
3. Fluent in spoken English & Chinese. Candidates with proficiency in conversing in Mandarin / Cantonese would be an added advantage.

Duties include but may not be limited to the following:

Administrative Management:

• Provides for the overall administrative management of the Mental Health Service.
• Advises, plans, develops, implements, and evaluates administrative processes and programs such as contract management, funds management, clinic flow, clinic scheduling,
• staffing efficiency, labor mapping, access, strategic planning, and communication across the Service Line.
• Manages a variety of administrative functions, including the Service appointment calendar, distribution and dissemination of incoming mail, internal controls, records management, publication, and forms management.
• Ensures inquiries, correspondence, and actions are addressed in a timely fashion following established templates, suspense timelines, or other process as appropriate.
• Develops performance metrics and process measurement methods - collecting data from various sources; analyzing data; developing reports; and providing guidance to the Service Chief and other clinical staff.

• Analyzes resource needs and makes recommendations based on staffing needs, approval of individual expenditures for all non-recurring items; approving and preparing all requests for funding, etc.
• Performs analysis of budget requests by employing techniques such as cost-benefit analysis, program tradeoffs, and explorations of alternative methods of funding to ensure that program objectives are met.
• Coordinates equipment needs with internal and external staff, research specific equipment needs, how it will be used, obtains quotes, conducts market research, obtains, and justifies approvals, communicates with contracting and coordinates delivery and installation.
• Serves as the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) for medical service contracts needed for the provision of essential patient care within the Medical Center and CBOCs.

• Administers and oversees all aspects of personnel management within the Service.
• Provides advice on interpretation and application of a variety of human resources policies, practices, and procedures that affect the Mental Health Service Line.
• Directs recruitment and onboarding activities, research and input for market pay development and reviews, and other personnel administrative tasks.
• Reviews and maintains personnel action requests, awards, promotions, and supervisors' disciplinary action documentation.
• Maintains files and documents on all personnel actions, coordinating actions with appropriate staff or supervisor, monitoring current and projected personnel actions, and providing continuous status updates.

• Conducts data research and analysis on specific programs and incentives such as book ability, cost outliers, and contract management items.
• Performs review and analysis of productivity data, developing action plans that lead to improved performance and/or productivity and implementation of improved management controls.
• Develops short- and long-range plans to ensure programs and services support objectives and are synchronized with facility and VHA goals and requirements.
• Develops, conducts, or directs special studies to resolve problems that arise (or could potentially arise) related to new or altered program requirements or resources issues, providing the basis for planning, organizing, and controlling both day-to-day and long-term operations of the Service.

• Plans and directs the activities of subordinates and managing training and support needs to assure an appropriate work environment.
• Provides oversight of the day-to-day work completed by subordinates. Sets and prepares schedules for completion of work.
• Develops performance plans and evaluates the performance of direct reports.
• Provides administrative oversight and guidance (not supervision) over the performance of the clinical subordinates as the direct extension of the Mental Health Service Chief.
• Gives advice, counsel, and instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters.
• Hears and resolves minor complaints from employees; refers group grievances and more serious unresolved complaints to a higher-level supervisor or manager.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Serve as a lead budget analyst, working collaboratively with senior scientific and professional staff to develop and recommend milestones, objectives and plans to achieve long- and short- range mission priorities.
• Perform budget development, formulation, and execution functions.
• Develop options for presentation and review by the NIAAA Director and executive leadership.

• The duties may include, but are not limited to:
• Operates and controls both the pallet and package x-ray scanners, using image interpretation skills to read and verify the x-ray image for explosive detection
• Performs the full range of examining and identifying explosive materials for the most complex categories of materials and equipment.

HSR seeks individuals to lead the development, refinement, and implementation of VA health systems research portfolios with a particular focus in the following domains:

1. Health informatics/Data Science encompasses big data, virtual/telehealth, and connected care including cutting edge research on advanced methods to extract information from medical records and other data sources; development of predictive analytics to improve clinical care and health system management; computerized decision support to improve clinical decision-making and reduce medical errors; use of technology including smart phone apps to collect and disseminate information to patients, development and testing of innovations in the design and use of health information and virtual health care modalities to improve access to and outcomes of health care for patients.
2. Veteran, provider, and operational partner engagement Science encompasses research on systematic incorporation of end-user input across multiple interested parties (e.g., Veterans, including their families and caregivers, frontline providers, clinical managers and other employees, leaders, policymakers, and community members) to inform all stages of research from inception to dissemination and sustainment. Research examines strategies that optimize Veteran and community engagement to improve Veteran outcomes and Quintuple Aim goals. Research studies seek to develop, test and scale novel strategies to optimize engagement of Veterans, caregivers/families, providers, communities, and other interested parties in the research process, incorporating Veteran-centered outcome and lived experience data.
3. Specific duties include analyzing the needs, strategic plans, and goals of Health system Research and making recommendations for new directions and initiatives; conducting semi-annual scientific merit review meetings; identifying and recruiting VA and non-VA scientists to serve on review committees; evaluating HSR merit reviewed projects recommended for funding and contributing to HSR portfolio management; and providing technical and other expertise based on knowledge of HSR merit review programs and procedures, to colleagues and executive staff.
