The post holder will primarily be based in the inpatient dispensary, working closely with the senior technician team, working to ensure patients receive their inpatient and discharge medication in a safe, efficient and timely manner.

Applicants must have BTEC, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Pharmacy Services and must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council. ACPT would be an advantage.

The post includes participation in weekends (7 days), bank holidays and late duty rotas.

Main duties of the job
• Abide by the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) standards of conduct, ethics and performance as well as standards for registered pharmacies, observing and applying all professional, ethical and legal obligations.
• Ensure that the Outpatient Pharmacy service is patient focused, responsive and appropriate and that the professional image of the department is upheld at all times.
• Work in the Outpatient pharmacy by undertaking responsibilities required as per JD including ensuring that medicines are dispensed in a legal, efficient and accurate way and that appropriate clinical and other checks have been carried out.
• Ensure patients are given appropriate counselling and information, regarding their medicines. To counsel patients on the use of their medicines if necessary.
• Provide professional leadership with the support of the Principal Pharmacist Outpatients in the pharmacy, ensuring all pharmacy practice, including their own, is within the boundaries described within the latest version of the Medicines, Ethics and Practice issued by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society and General Pharmaceutical Council.
• Ensuring individual patient needs are met and appropriate actions are taken to resolve issues and complaints as they arise.

Paediatric day surgery, are looking for an experienced Paediatric nurse to join their team as a Deputy Sister/charge nurse.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Nurse Colposcopist to join our dynamic Gynaecology team. In this role, you will practice independently as a BSCCP-accredited Nurse Colposcopist, taking on the pivotal role of Colposcopy Screening Programme Lead (CSPL) for the Trust as per Public Health England guidelines. You will lead the Colposcopy nursing service, providing expert care and guidance to women accessing our services while managing and developing a dedicated team of nurses.

You will be responsible for maintaining a cost-effective and high-quality service that aligns with departmental objectives and care group goals. Your duties will include managing a patient caseload within Women’s Services, offering clinical and social support to patients and their families, and fostering the development of evidence-based nursing practices in line with the latest research and guidelines.
