This Finance Senior Manager role is at the heart of Corporate FP&A and will lead the annual operating plan, quarterly forecasts, monthly/quarterly results reviews for the Corporate Functions ~$1Bn Expense. This role will report to the Finance Director, Corporate FP&A.
What You'll Be Doing:Lead the Annual operating plan process for Corporate Functions and act as trusted advisor and business partner for the VP of Global FunctionsAnalyze Functional results from a global level and challenge cost forecast and/or inconsistencies.Act as “Single point of contact” for cost envelope exercise and spin related activities prior and post spin including TSA/MSA chargebackRun quarterly forecast cycles by setting clear communication and guidance on timelines, forecast considerations, and partnering with Functional Leads and COEs to align on standardized and simplified forecasting methods across the organization.Drive and own financial initiatives alignment with function along with updates in FP&A processPartner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate/timely reporting of monthly financial data, including required GAAP/management adjustments, and accounting support.Determine the appropriate accounting treatment for certain complex transactions ensuring compliance with US GAAP and documentation for audit purposes.Partner with Accounting teams to ensure appropriate accounting pertaining to Compensation which includes MICP, Commissions, Stock Options, and other payroll-related issues.Partner and lead direct and indirect reports from the FP&A COE Center to drive efficiency and process standardization.Drive beneficial insight through strategic evaluations, financial simulations, and excel modelling to provide insightful recommendations and support to achieve short-and long-term business objectives. Gather feedback from the finance community and implement live and continuous feedback to Global Finance processes to simplify, streamline and improve accuracy in our results.
What You'll Bring:Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (or country equivalent). MBA/CPA preferred.Excellent communication and strong people skillsChange agent with ability to effectively manage and drive impactful change across multiple geographies and functions.Ability to lead and operate in a collaborative environment and influence cross-functional partners.Strong process mentality and shown success in leading business initiatives to deliver large scale process improvements.Strong technical and financial knowledge, including understanding of internal control requirements and accounting principles as well as understanding of relevant business environment. Strong ownership mentality; maintains focus on driving projects to completion and delivering output/results.Ability to prioritize and manage tasks concurrently; owns career and is accountable for managing own development.Strong financial and business acumen; familiar with financial systems and various aspects of financial reporting80/20 work approach, ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple ongoing projects.Ability to distill insights from complex analyses and build concise and compelling presentations to senior leadership audience.
We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $128,000 to $176,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses and long-term incentive.
