As a Chef de Partie you will be an integral part of the team to lead a section in the kitchen creating the finest dishes and working to the highest of standards.

Maintain a clean and efficient kitchen section and ensures maximum utilization of food
Participate in food production. Portions meats, fish, vegetables and desserts and utilizes food surpluses to control food costs
Communicate with and assist back-of-the-house personnel to maintain efficient food production
Conduct daily food line inspections in section to ensure quality is maintained.

Ideally NVQ levels 2&3
Experience working in an AA Rosette establishment
Hotel or Restaurant background
Good knowledge of cooking techniques and styles
Good understanding of food, hygiene and safety
COSHH knowledge
Good verbal and written English

Role Description:

As a Class Teacher, your primary responsibility will be delivering high-quality Food Technology instruction, guiding students towards achieving relevant accreditation's and qualifications.

You will design and implement lessons in line with DFE guidelines and school policies. Daily classroom management, including the supervision of a Teaching Assistant, will be part of your duties. You'll also ensure the application of school policies, especially those related to safeguarding and equality, and closely monitor the health and well-being of students, reporting any concerns to the appropriate teams and professionals.

• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons that foster engaging and enjoyable learning experiences.
• Adapt resources to meet the needs of individual students, ensuring accessibility for all.

• Maintain accurate student data to enhance teaching effectiveness.

Candidate Requirements:

Successful candidates will likely demonstrate:

• Qualified Teacher Status
• Strong knowledge of the curriculum and its adaptation for SEN pupils
• Experience working with young people with ASD
• Preferable experience in delivering BTEC home cooking or similar courses
• Understanding of safeguarding principles and child protection procedures
• Ability to build and maintain nurturing relationships with students
• Experience managing various learning approaches, including students with anxiety
• Knowledge of strategies to engage reluctant learners
• Flexibility and creativity in teaching methods
