Rossendale are recruiting for a cook to join their catering team!
We are looking for passionate people, who can promote healthy eating and provide varied meals that meet the required care standards and contribute to the wellbeing of our Children and Young People. In this role, you will be responsible for the cooking within the school as well as the menu planning, shopping and adhering to set budgets within the school to deliver healthy, varied and nutritious diets for young people and the staff within the school. In addition, be responsible for the ensuring that the kitchen and associated areas are kept to a high standard of hygiene, including food and equipment storage.
The hours for this role will be 5am to 1.30pm Monday to Friday for 40 weeks per year

Rossendale is a day school catering for the needs of pupils who are autistic and academically able. All pupils have a draft or final Education, Health and Care Plan.
The School provides education for young people aged from 7 – 18 years of age. Key stages 3 and 4 are based on the main school site, whilst Key stage 2 and 5 are based at our Campus which is based in the local community. At Key stage 4 and 5 we offer a wide range of GCSE subjects, BTEC Awards, Functional Skills, ASDAN and Entry Level qualifications and A level courses at the sixth form provision. Given the disrupted nature of our pupils’ education, prior to their admission to Rossendale, we have had some outstanding examination results. The school admits both boys and girls.
Due to the location and requirements of the role, all applicants must hold a full UK driving licence.

A Level 3 qualification or equivalent is an essential requirement, as well as previous experience preparing and cooking meals gained within a professional kitchen environment along with the following characteristics:

Organisation –You will need to be confident and organised in updating menus, dietary requirements and reporting information that will be relevant to the care of our young people.

We are seeking an enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our lovely team!
Some of the duties will involve:
Preparation of food and beverages.
Preparation of sandwiches as requested.
To work as part a team, including assistance at buffets as required.
Washing up.
