Cygnet Oaks is a 35 bed service specialising in high support inpatient rehabilitation (level 2) for men, providing a multi-disciplinary treatment programme designed to assist individuals with their return to independent living. Depending on the individuals level of need, at Cygnet Oaks we provide different levels of support in 2 wards, the Lodge and the House; Lodge this is a 20 bed admission ward where most service users will start their recovery journey at Cygnet Oaks. Individuals who are admitted to this ward are generally stepping down from an acute or a low secure service House a 15 bed service for individuals to continue along their care pathway. The Lodge also contains a 4 bed step-through service. This is situated in its own corridor and has a separate living space to prepare and develop individuals towards a community placement whilst still having input from the multi-disciplinary team (MDT). We are looking for an outstanding Kitchen Assistant/Catering Assistant who's passionate about food and wants to make a difference. You'll be working full time 40 hours a week at Cygnet Pindar House, creating an excellent experience for the people in our care. Cygnet Pindar House is our 22 bed Neuropsychiatric care and treatment service for men affected by acquired brain injuries. It is a safe and secure place to aid recovery as well as offering those diagnosed with a progressive neurological disease like Huntingtons Disease, a caring and longer term placement to support and help manage the progression of their symptoms. The service accepts unplanned, often urgent admissions where a service user requires a safe place to start treatment at the earliest possible time as well as planned admissions. Assist in the preparation of balanced, appetising meals Perform cooking tasks & other kitchen duties Ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen, service areas & dining room Wash utensils, dishes & make sure they are stored appropriately Rotate stock & put away all deliveries Maintain personal hygiene to comply with Cygnet standards and food hygiene regulations Handle, maintain & store kitchen equipment in accordance with Cygnet procedures Use chemicals in line with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations Why Cygnet?
