The navigator role will be involved from the beginning of the pathway at the suspicion of cancer. The post holder will support the patient from initial referral to the communication of Cancer Excluded, or where Cancer diagnosed, onwards to the First Definitive Treatment, along with providing support withDiagnostics and Pharmacy results. Improving cancer wait times and delivery.

The post holder will be expected to work across a range of IT systems namely excel, PAS, SCR and CRIS, to coordinate booking of patient appointments. The post holder will work both directly and indirectly with both patients and their carers to assist in coordinating the care of patients through their hospital care journey, identifying, escalating and managing issues that patients may have with transport, lack of understanding about diagnostic investigations or preparations and to reduce the number of appointments that are missed by patients (both outpatient and diagnostic investigation). It will be part of the Navigators role to help improve both patient compliance and patient experience.

The post-holder will be expected to work with minimal supervision, and responsible for promptly escalating any concerns relating to the service as appropriate. Communicate inter-departmentally with all levels and disciplines of staff and external agencies including GPs and other NHS Trusts.

The post-holder will also be expected to work hybrid with 3 days working onsite and 2 days working from home. This will be after their initial training programme has been completed.

You will work within the home treatment function delivering support to patients and their families using evidence based, profession specific, and general mental health knowledge providing client-centered, recovery-orientated principles and practice for individuals, families and carers.

We provide an alternative to inpatient admission treating patients in their home environment who are presenting in a crisis with significant distress. You will be expected to have a means of visiting people in their own homes (when safe to do so) across the Heywood, Middleton, and Rochdale area.

We are looking for a qualified practitioner- a Nurse, Social Worker, or Occupational Therapist. You will need to have experience of community mental health work and/or inpatient mental health services and to be passionate about this area of work. We are more than willing to support people ready for their next stage of their career.

The post holder will review patients who are seeking self-discharge from the wards, providing a safer discharge and any Rochdale HTT patients that present at A&E.

They will also complete home visits if risk assessed safe to do so, providing a greater flexibility for supervised medication regimes for patients.

To support patients with telephone calls if required.

To be involved in the ongoing development of the service.

To undertake accurate psychosocial / risk assessments and act as co-worker for service users who are supported by the Home Treatment Team who present with acute mental health problems or psychological distress. To work in close liaison with other members of the multidisciplinary team, including care coordinators, to implement treatment / management plans in order to facilitate Home Treatment.

To undertake the role of the gatekeeper for all people requiring admission to inpatient services, including those requiring assessment under the MHA and to provide an alternative to hospital admission through Home Treatment interventions where appropriate.

It is expected that you will deliver care in accordance with all Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust policies and procedures, the Mental Health Act and community care legislation.

To provide consultant psychiatric input to a high functioning community EIS as part of a multi-disciplinary service. The role is to provide a comprehensive assessment and NICE concordant treatment package of care to all patients.

To provide high-quality Mental Health Care for adults following the EIS frameworks

To work closely with other teams and Consultants to ensure coherent and high-quality mental health care for adults with severe and enduring mental health problems within the Heywood,Middleton and Rochdale (Rochdale borough) area

To work with the MDT to support the development of the service, and to attend local and divisional service development meetings

This is an exciting time to join the Trust and there are many opportunities to contribute to the organisations’ development and to look at service redesign models. Rochdale has a very strong teaching commitment and candidates will be expected to contribute to the teaching of medical and nursing staff. There are close links to ongoing research projects. The Consultants contribute to local service user & carer groups.



The post holder will be based at the Outpatients department Birch Hill Hospital Rochdale. Rochdale operates an Inpatient- Outpatient model (New Ways of Working) and is staffed by 9 full-time Consultants in Adult Psychiatry and old age psychiatry and a nurse consultant on the female adult ward. Each Consultant Psychiatrist is allocated a Junior Doctor (NW Deanery training schemes) to work with them .

Applicants must be on the GMC’s Specialist Register or eligible for inclusion or be within six months’ of the anticipated award of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in General Adult Psychiatry at the time of interview for the post.

Low frequency on-call (1 in 31) with full second tier on call and 1 day off after your on call.

We are looking to recruit a Ward Clerk to the Acute Medical Unit.

We admit patients medically unwell patients direct from GP's or the Emergency Department /clinics. The patients are seen, assessed and treated, then transferred or discharged.

This full-time, fixed-term contract role involves processing weekly payment runs, handling a high volume of invoices, and assisting with month-end duties. You will also be responsible for processing European invoices, managing employee expenses, and ensuring intercompany accounts balance each month. Additionally, you will run weekly and monthly reports, assist with GRNI reviews, and monitor invoices in query. Your role will also include process improvement initiatives, setting up new suppliers, posting bank payments to the ledger, and addressing queries on the PO system.

The Medical Device Service support users of medical equipment across all of our hospital sites within the Northern Care Alliance.

You will have a key role in supporting the departments responsibility for the maintenance, repair and sub-contractor management of Medical equipment. This will Include first line support to users of Medical equipment to Optimise systems up time to gain maximum use of Medical equipment.

Ideally, you will possess a minimum of HNC in Electronics and Clinical engineering and have extensive experience since qualifying in the field of Medical Electronics. Knowledge in the application and repair on a wide range of Medical equipment used in a hospital and community is essential although some specific training will be provided.

Consideration may be given to applicants with reduced knowledge and skills through a development pathway on a lower band with progression upon completion of the programme.
