We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated, enthusiastic, newly qualified or current band 5 dietitian to come and work with our innovative and friendly home enteral nutrition team. Our team of specialist and highly specialist dietitians, dietetic associate practitioners, and our home enteral nutrition specialist nurse support adults across East and West Kent who are tube fed at home, giving us the opportunity to build relationships with our patients and provide holistic care.

Our adult and paediatric dietetics teams form the largest in the South East. We work alongside our specialist community dietetics colleagues in Oncology, Gastroenterology, Diabetes, and Paediatrics teams within Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics – all working in community settings in the beautiful South Eastern coastal County of Kent.

This exciting role will be for a dietitian in the early stage of their career to support adults who receive enteral tube feeding at home.

If successful, you will be fully supported, clinically supervised and integrated into the team where you will complete a preceptorship training programme led by experienced and enthusiastic dietitians in order to equip you with the skills and knowledge required in the realm of community dietetics.

Our team includes supervision and support from our highly specialist dietitians. You will be supported to develop your knowledge and skills across a wide variety of clinical conditions. You will also have access to dietitians in the wider department who specialise in a number of areas including gastroenterology, diabetes and obesity, and neurology. We are also supporting training for dietetic apprenticeships and dietetic students.

Leigh Academy Rainham has an exciting opportunity to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our highly collaborative and supportive inclusion team from September 2024. Our successful candidate will support curriculum delivery across the Academy through working collaboratively with teachers, teaching assistants and mentors.

This pharmacist development role has been created for new and recently qualified pharmacists. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your expertise in a specialist setting supported by a small and friendly team.

The post holder will initially join the Trust as a Band 6 Clinical Pharmacist and will undertake structured training and experience in various areas including clinical ward commitments, medicines information and dispensary.

Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust: Bracton Campus—Pharmacy Department

Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust provides a wide range of mental health and community health services. These include acute adult and elderly mental health units and community teams based at a number of locations in Bexley, Bromley and Greenwich boroughs, and intermediate and elderly care units based at Queen Mary’s Hospital (QMH), Sidcup, and Eltham community hospital.

The Trust has dispensaries located at QMH and the Bracton campus, Dartford; both are registered with the GPhC and the QMH pharmacy store holds a wholesale dealers licence. Within Oxleas, clinical pharmacists are an integral part of the multidisciplinary team, with regular ward attendance and provision of a medicines information service which includes a patient telephone advice line.

Pharmacy also provide support to patients within the community, including to Community Mental Health teams, a specialist perinatal clinic and a home assessment Medicines Optimisation service to patients within Bromley.

Key tasks and responsibilities
• To provide clinical pharmacy services to mental health, intermediate care and elderly care inpatient units, to ensure patients receive appropriate medication on admission, have their medication and adherence reviewed during their stay, and have a clear medicines management plan on discharge.
• To provide information about the use of medicines to consultants, other prescribers, other health care professionals, patients, relatives and carers.
• To support professional leads in identifying and addressing issues around the use of medicines that are relevant to meeting CQC standards, for example advising on the safe and secure storage of medicines, and contributing to the audit and review of controlled drug processes.
• To work with the Medication Safety Officer to implement medicines safety initiatives within designated wards.
• To record information as required on clinical pharmacy activity.
• To take professional responsibility when clinically screening prescriptions to ensure the accuracy, legality, safety and efficacy of prescribed medication, including liaising with doctors and nurses to resolve any queries arising from the screening process.
• To seek advice from senior pharmacists where necessary.
• To participate in the dispensary rota as needed, working independently to liaise with doctors and nurses to resolve any queries arising from the screening process and to undertake the final accuracy check on prescriptions dispensed by other pharmacy staff.
• To participate in the medicines information rota, providing clinically sound, evaluated information on a wide variety of complex enquiries to service users and all grades of health care professionals.
• To participate in other internal rotas as required.
• To undertake any other relevant duties, as may be required by the Chief Pharmacist.

The CFO will lead the promotion and delivery by the whole organisation of good financial management so that public money is safeguarded at all times and used appropriately, economically, efficiently and effectively.

The Viking Academy Trust runs its own successful in-house payroll service for our staff, the CFO will be responsible for administering this service alongside the HR Director.

The right candidate will need a passion for education and have commitment to our vision and will see finance as an enabler with the ability to think creatively and innovatively to solve problems.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in a senior financial role and hold an accounting qualification. Previous school finance experience beneficial but not essential.
