Role Purpose:

To work in liaison with the finance lead in each academy to ensure that financial transactions and internal controls are accurately recorded and reported in line with United Learning’s finance policies and procedures.

The Cluster Finance Officer will carry out their role and responsibilities in a manner which is in keeping with the values and vision of each academy within the Cluster.

The postholder will support the financial management function to ensure processes are compliant with United Learning’s policies and procedures and statutory and regulatory requirements.

We have a rare opportunity to recruit an occupational therapy assistant to join our team in the Mental Health Unit with Chorley Hospital. The successful candidate will work within the OT service alongside a strong multidisciplinary team helping people with acute mental health issues to achieve a successful and timely discharge from hospital. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Insurance Claims Handler to join their friendly and well established team. The successful candidate will manage a diverse range of claims predominantly within Property & Liability.

Key Responsibilities as an Insurance Claims Handler

- Claims Assessment: Review and assess insurance claims across various products to determine coverage and liability.
- Client Acknowledgment: Acknowledge all new claims to clients and insurers, keeping clients informed and pursuing the best outcome.
- Investigation: Investigate and gather evidence to support claims decisions.
- Negotiation: Negotiate with claimants, insurers, and other parties to reach fair settlements.

• Manage multiple Council budgets and funding streams effectively.
• Represent the council in key meetings and with health sector partners to ensure collaborative service delivery.

Requirements for the role

• Must be able to attend the office 3 days per week (Flexibility on the days)
• Must be a Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIPFA)
• Must have significant experience within Adult Social care at a Senior Level
• Or similar significant NHS experience
