• Prepare income and expenditure reports in accordance with financial regulations.
• Co-ordinate all the annual external audit (interim and final), liaising with all parties involved, and preparing papers and workings to support the external auditors.

• Maintain and oversee all bank accounts including the charge card(s), completing monthly reconciliations and reporting any anomalies to the Chief Finance Officer.

• Ensure accurate VAT accounting and payment, and that VAT reclaim returns are submitted as required.
• Be responsible for cash flow projections and all elements of cash handling including collections and disbursements, banking and security, fundraising and school trips.
• Maintain an effective payroll system and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation ensuring all forms including timesheets, new starter/leaver/variation forms and annual returns are submitted within required deadlines.
• Monitor the payment of salaries by the school’s payroll provider, liaising with the provider as required.
• Be responsible for overseeing the placement of orders, ensuring colleagues follow the required processes and are processed through the schools computerised finance accounting package.
• In conjunction with the nominated staff members, scrutinise and attend to the payment of all invoices and statements of account.
• Be responsible for the issue of all invoices following up their prompt payment.
• Carry out and keep analyses of costs and other statistical information.
• Contribute to the review of financial systems and processes; playing a key role in the planning and implementation of any new or revised systems/processes with the Chief Finance Officer.
• Maintain all school insurances including assessments, claims and administration.
• Co-ordinate and maintain a list of approved contractors and suppliers to ensure best value.
• Support the Chief Finance Officer and Operations Manager with the review and monitoring of all contracts, leases and relationships with external contractors.
• Assist with monitoring expenditure on capital projects such as any Condition Improvement Funds.
• Maximise investment returns and income generation, supporting bids, sales, sponsorship and fundraising as appropriate.
• Be responsible for the schools’ asset registers ensuring that they are maintained and regularly updated.
• Ensure that all necessary returns, reports and documentation are completed accurately within time constraints including claims, bids, assist with reports and statistical returns (internal and external).

The unit is a Continuing Healthcare nurse led facility, which accommodates 22 residents with complex and unpredictable physical healthcare needs e.g. following and acquired brain injury or a diagnosis of a progressive neurological, respiratory, cardiac or renal disease. We are able to care for patients in need of complex airway or feeding regimes, up to and including full invasive ventilation.

The accommodation and environment are designed to deliver flexible and person centred care for each person and we aim to create a “home from home” atmosphere for all our patients. We employ our own chef and social event coordinator which enable our patients to live life to the maximum.

We are now recruiting band 5 staff nurses and are looking for individuals who have excellent communication skills and an enthusiastic approach to nursing.

The IT PACS Technician will have responsibility for ensuring that IT technical support is provided to appropriate levels of customer service in line with corporate Service Level Agreements.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist to deliver assessments, diagnoses and interventions to children and their families in a variety of locations across the city. These posts are within the additional needs team.

You will have experience of working with children and their families, possess excellent time management, problem-solving, analytical and reflection skills. With current knowledge of the implications of the 2014 Children's and Families Act, and a particular knowledge of SEND. Working alongside key partners such as parents, schools and other health workers in managing the young persons needs you will be based in a team within the larger citywide service. In Manchester many of the patients are from families whose mother tongue is not English.

Our team is a large, well-established and supportive department. We provide you with regular clinical supervision, protected time for CPD opportunities and support from an experienced team. Our Clinical Support Workers for the Community Liver Health Checks programme support the roll out of an exciting new pilot project providing community screening of people in hard-to-reach groups for cirrhosis. This project aims to identify people currently using local alcohol and drug services and engage them in screening for cirrhosis and to offer interventions to help their liver health. This project will aim to provide patients with support to attend screening and provide direct to patient incentives to encourage attendance at screening.

The post holder will work closely with the Hepatology Service at MRI and the Infectious Diseases outreach service at community sites, with the community outreach work coordinated strategically by the Greater Manchester Hepatitis C Operational Delivery Network (ODN).

The post will be based in Manchester Royal Infirmary and the post holder will work operationally with the Operational Delivery Network for Greater Manchester and Eastern Cheshire.

The role entails blood tests and performing fibroscans (a type of ultrasound for assessing liver health - full training will be given), delivery of results and engaging patients found to be cirrhotic in preventative health care to encourage them to attend for further hospital screening and offering them health promotion advice. The role holder will work closely with our partners in drug services, probation services, homeless services, and primary care. This will include programmes with existing peer support schemes available within those organisations and the voluntary sector.
