Clinical Psychologist – Older Adults Specialty, 1.0wte Band 7/8a depending on experience

We are seeking a clinical psychologist with experience and enthusiasm in working with older people, to join the friendly and supportive Rapid Intervention and Treatment Team (RITT) based at Lytham Hospital on the beautiful Fylde Coast.

The RITT team provides a variety of approaches to support older people with complex mental health issues, with the aim of reducing the need for hospital admission where possible. A specialist care home liaison service is also provided to nursing and care homes.

The successful applicant will be working with the multi-disciplinary team and team manager to continue to develop a high quality, community-orientated service for older people. The successful post-holder will also be working alongside another clinical psychologist and assistant psychologist(s) based in the same team, plus additional locality based psychology colleagues.

The posts are professionally attached to the locality older adult psychology team and wider network, both of which offer a friendly and supportive space, with a strong commitment to providing quality services for older people in Lancashire and South Cumbria. The Trust is also committed to staff development, and have invested in on-going training and development opportunities including funding recent further therapy training and leadership courses. There are strong links with Universities and various opportunities for research involvement.

The substantive post is full-time, but we would consider part-time and job share arrangements. Informal enquiries and visits are strongly welcomed.

The £7k Welcome Bonus package applies to this role. As an Advanced Practitioner you will have experience of working collaboratively within a community or acute setting, have excellent assessment, intervention, and communication skills.

You will be able to carry out comprehensive assessments and make autonomous decisions based on the data obtained. You will be a key decision maker on the patient’s pathway during and post crisis.

You will support staff within the team through remote advanced consultation and clinical advice and supervision.

We will provide interdisciplinary induction, clinical supervision, and links to Primary Care Networks for prescribing and clinical support.

The Endoscopy unit is a busy JAG accredited Unit undertaking diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. As an Endoscopy staff nurse you will be trained to rotate around all sub specialities within the unit. This includes Colonoscopy, Sigmoidoscopy, Capsule Endoscopy, ERCP, Bronchoscopy, EBUS, EUS, and Enteroscopy. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the dynamic team on the new Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC), located within the Emergency Village. This is a purpose-built area set up to prevent unnecessary admissions and relieve the pressures of our busy Emergency Department. JOB SUMMARY:

Provide a high standard of administrative support to the Workforce Team. To work under the direction of the HR Officer, HR Managers and HR Business Partners. To assist in the provision of a comprehensive, efficient, and effective Workforce Advisory Service.

Working from the Trust’s policies and procedures, provide basic advice and guidance to staff and line managers to resolve day to day workforce queries.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• To be the first point of contact in providing basic advice and guidance on day-to-day workforce queries, working within the boundaries of the Trust’s Policies and Procedures, signposting when necessary and escalating to a senior colleague when appropriate.
• Provide a comprehensive administrative support service to the Workforce Team in all aspects of case work, projects, and Agenda for Change.
• Effective use of the IT systems to collage and produce the workforce management information/metrics, ie. appraisal and mandatory training figures etc.
• Take a proactive approach in arranging meetings and hearings within agreed timescales, liaising with those involved and securing appropriate rooms when required.
• Produce accurate records of minutes, either handwritten and/or typed, during meetings/hearings and distribute to the appropriate sources.

20% of basic salary in the first 12 months

10% of basic salary in the third 12 months

We are excited to advertise for a General Adult Consultant to join us working in inpatients at The Harbour, Blackpool. The post is substantive and full time (10 PAs).

You will be expected to participate on the Consultant On Call rota, for which additional remuneration is payable.

The Harbour MH hospital is a newly built, state of the art unit based just off junction 4 on the M55. The M55 connects with the M6 and tends to be a really quiet connecting motorway, with rarely any delays. The Harbour is 2 mins from Junction 4 off the M55

The post holder will be a leading member of the well-established, in-patient, multidisciplinary teams based at the Harbour and will have the following important clinical responsibilities:
• Responsible Clinician for a defined caseload.
• Assessment of patients referred by the community teams and responsibility for any of admissions at the Harbour Hospital.
• Out of Hours Cover.

Applicants should hold full GMC registration and be included on the Specialist register of the GMC or they should be eligible for entry to the Specialist Register within 6 months of the interview date.

It is a requirement that applicants are Section 12 Approved at the time of commencing employment and have or are eligible to have Approved Clinician Status. Remuneration will be as set out in the terms of the New Consultant Contract according to previous experience.

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join the Adult Inpatient Unit at the Harbour. The post involves working alongside experienced Occupational Therapists, Therapy Assistants, Health and Wellbeing Workers and the Multidisciplinary Team with inpatients experiencing acute mental health problems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for caseloads, assessing patients within the hospital, community and home environments and supporting with patient-centred care and timely discharges to home or the most appropriate placement. They will also be expected to undertake supervision of support staff and assist in local developments related to the Occupational Therapy department and wider hospital community.

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist who is enthusiastic about working in mental health with excellent communication skills and who wants to to develop their clinical skills in this exciting area. They will be supported to consolidate and develop their skills through regular contact and supervision from senior therapists as well as well as being supported and encouraged with their own professional development.
