We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Psychologist to join our Pennine Specialist Perinatal Community Mental Health Team. This post requires travel throughout the Pennine area.



You will join other psychological staff who are all based in the team and you will be supervised by a senior clinical psychologist. You will contribute to the psychological care of service users under the care of the perinatal service. Tasks will include carrying out psychological assessment and interventions (individual and group) under the supervision of a qualified clinical psychologist, assisting in clinically related administration, conducting audits and collection of statistics related to departmental research projects, training and project work. The post will require liaison and joint working with multidisciplinary colleagues and agencies. The role is busy, varied and interesting.

You will receive professional and clinical supervision from senior clinical psychology colleagues, and there is lots of peer support and development and training opportunities.

A Radiography Assistant Practitioners main role is to support Radiographers & Radiologists by performing an agreed range of examinations. They support service delivery, bridging the gap between the role of a Clinical Support Worker/Radiology Assistant and a Radiographer and will help us to provide a workforce for the future.

The TraineeRadiography Assistant Practitioner is a 2 year programme and you will be paid Band 3 for the duration of this training. MAIN DUTIES


GENERAL/CLINICAL

• To support the radiographic staff to deliver an efficient radiography service. 

• If not qualified already to attend a2 yearFoundation Degree at University to gain Assistant Practitioner qualification. 

• To carry out a wide range of agreed radiographic techniques with supervision from Radiographers and Radiologists. 


• Adhere to departmental protocols and procedures including Ionising Radiation Regulations 2017 and Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations 2017 

• To ensure x-ray requests are justified by a Radiographer or Radiologist prior to any examination taking place. 

• To ensure all images are checked by a Radiographer or Radiologist prior to the patient being discharged. 

• Maintain a high standard of patient care at all times 

• Ensurea high levelof environmental quality is achieved bymaintainingcleanliness 

• To undertake a range of duties as agreed with the Department Manager/Clinical Leads and Interventional, X-Ray and Fluoroscopy Manager.  

• Ensure safe moving and positioning of patients including the use of mechanical aids and bed appliances 

• Assistpatients with all aspects of personal hygiene 

• Recognise and respond appropriately to urgent and emergency situations

JOB DESCRIPTION - CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Statement of purpose

The CFO will take strategic responsibility for Trust wide operations including but not limited to, financial management and control, reporting and compliance, risk management and audit, governance and contributing to delivering MAT growth.

Key Strategic / Leadership & Management Responsibilities

• To report to the BoT, as required, on areas of responsibility, highlighting any concerns, action taken and making recommendations for solutions, where appropriate and when improvement is not rapid enough.
• Working with the CEO, line manage the central services team, with specific regard to HR and payroll.
• Represent the central team at executive team level to the BoT and external bodies where appropriate.
• Promote the highest standards of financial and operational ethics within the Trust.

• Prepare and submit the Trust’s financial returns and reports, including annual accounts and monthly management accounts.
• Collect, assess, and analyse information required for annual statutory financial reporting.

Risk Management and Audit

• Lead on financial risk management and mitigation, strengthening controls, ensuring that the Trustees and Senior Leaders are aware of financial risks and issues and that these are being mitigated and managed appropriately.
• Working with the CEO and COO, maintain the Trust’s risk register and liaise with Trustees on risks on the horizon.
• Lead the preparation of the Trust’s statement of accounts, ensuring compliance with current accounting guidance, fully documenting processes.
• Develop and maintain an effective internal audit procedure for the trust and its academies, ensuring recommendations are actioned in a timely manner.
• Manage the external audit procedures for the Trust and its academies, and follow up on any recommendations resulting from the annual audit.
• Manage all insurance claims.
• Administer and account for the Trust’s Gift Aid Scheme.

Governance

We are seeking to recruit a Consultant Psychiatrist to work as part of the Pennine Initial Response Service (IRS), based at Daisyfield Mill, Blackburn. The post is full time (10PA).

The postholder will also be expected to participate on the Consultant On Call rota, for which additional remuneration is payable.

The overall aim of the IRS Team is to be the point of initial referral and assessment in Pennine Lancashire for people aged 16 years and over presenting with mental health needs. This team will be the first point of contact for GPs for both crisis and non-emergency mental health referrals and will act as the gateway service to those who may require access to specialist mental health services.

The Consultant will provide Medical Leadership within the IRS Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) and will work with medical and non-medical colleagues as part of MDT working.

There is no responsibility for inpatients as part of this role.

Applicants should hold full GMC registration and be included on the Specialist register of the GMC or they should be eligible for entry to the Specialist Register within 6 months of the interview date.

The Band 5 Occupational Therapy Rotational posts sit within the Therapies and Orthotics Directorate of the East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust. We are part of a large AHP service for people who live in East Lancashire and Blackburn with Darwen.

This vacancy would suit those soon to qualify as an Occupational Therapist or someone already qualified, who is looking to work for a Trust that can provide a high level of mentoring and support on an on-going basis. As a Finance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the finance department, ensuring the smooth operation of all financial activities. You will support the Purchase Ledger/Finance Assistant and Sales Ledger Assistant, and produce procedures for the Accounts department. Your role will include cash control to support the Financial Controller on cash flow, monthly journals, and monthly checks of the trial balance and nominal ledger. Additionally, you will prepare reports to support the Financial Controller, handle VAT quarterly, manage wage queries and upload payments to the bank, and oversee the monthly payment run. This is a full time role, working Monday to Thursday 8:30am-5:00pm and finishing at 3pm on Fridays.

Strong knowledge of financial procedures, cash control, and monthly financial reporting is essential. You should be proficient in handling VAT returns, wage queries, and payment processing. The duties are to perform technical and scientific processes within the Microbiology discipline to support the BMS staff. This involves the receipt, recording and processing of a variety of clinical patient samples, to aid the diagnosis of microbial disease according to written procedures (SOP's).

An opportunity has arisen to join the Trust's newly established Complex Nutrition Support Team as the Lead Pharmacist for Nutrition and Hydration. This is to support the increasing complexity of the treatments that are provided within our hospitals in East Lancashire, as a Tertiary Centre for hepatobiliary surgery.

This role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced pharmacist to further develop their skills and specialise within nutrition. The Trust's Complex Nutrition Support Team consists of a Dietitian, Speech and Language Therapist, Pharmacist, Consultant Gastroenterologist, Surgical Registrar and Nutrition Consultant Lead.

In addition to this specialist role you will also join the senior pharmacist team to support and drive the clinical pharmacy service and provide line management support to a team of junior pharmacists.

• Act as a role model in the field of nutrition and ensure the service is managed in accordance with the relevant professional, ethical, legal and locally agreed policies, procedures, guidelines and standards.
• Provide professional leadership in developing the pharmacy parenteral nutrition service in accordance with the objectives set by the complex NST.
• To participate in hospital ward-based “nutrition rounds” with the Nutrition Support Team members and provide specialist clinical knowledge with regard to parenteral nutrition and drug-nutrient interactions.
• To provide a comprehensive and effective clinical pharmacy support to patients (adult, paediatric and neonatal) requiring parenteral nutrition within the Trust, using highly developed specialist knowledge and skills.
• To collaborate with the senior aseptic pharmacist and act as a link between clinical and aseptic pharmacy services, to ensure a joined up approach to parenteral nutrition supply.
• To provide expert advice to clinicians, patients and carers regarding the provision of nutritional support to enable informed decisions based on nutritional assessment and principles of medicines optimisation
• To participate in working groups for nutrition as required, including the Trust’s Nutrition and Hydration Group.
