Job Description

1.1 Take charge of new & existing Japanese Clients of Overseas Travel Accident Insurance (OTAI) and Overseas Travel Accident Plus (OTAP)

We are seeking an Associate to support outsourced investment operations (with a focus in private credits). This role involves interactions with outsourced administrators, identifying service level issues, and ensuring the seamless integration of these solutions into our investment operations. This role works closely with internal and external stakeholders to support finance operations throughout the investment’s life cycle.

What will you do as an Associate?

• Support the deal life cycle from deal closing activities through an outsourced service provider
• Coordinate with outsourced service providers to ensure accurate and timely processing of private credit transactions, including loan origination, funding, settlements, and other loan life cycle events

• Work in partnership with Branch Management to drive liquidity improvement strategies to improve the liquidity of the balance sheet. Including experience in market debt issuance and supporting liability product structures and development.

• Responsible for supporting Head of Department about managing (objective setting & performance management), developing (coaching, career progression & training) and rewarding (financial and non-financial reward decisions).
• Responsible for team management of members of the ALM Planning and Balance Sheet Optimization and Strategy Desk.
• Provide guidance and support to less experienced members of the team.
• Act as a role model to team members and adhere to all company policies / guidelines.
• Responsible to support, coach, and guide team on complex issues.

Other/ Control

• Support Head of Department in managing the daily operations of the desk
• Review external market interest rates and recommend internal interest rates.
• Sophisticate Transfer price & incentive framework to promote deposit business with corporate, CB and FI clients.
• Control liquidity risk for minor currencies for the region’s balance sheet and pricing for Treasury Group.
• Support in understanding the local regulatory requirements and audit outcomes, assess and recommend a liquidity plan for the Branch to ensure alignment with all relevant regulations.
• Support in managing the risk profile for the department by understanding the regulatory changes, monitor the Branch’s liquidity and prepare recommendations to mitigate liquidity risk.
• Participate in relevant committees in the region.
• Maintain good working knowledge of industry trends, products, relevant laws and regulations.
• Adhere to all company policies / guidelines.

Job Requirements:

• Degree qualified from Business/Finance/Economics
• Minimum 15 years of experience in Treasury or related function in Global financial Institution
• Minimum 10 years of experience in liquidity management function, including in areas such as, Money Market Dealing, Debt Issuance, Foreign and Domestic currency financing management, and secured financing instrument.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to influence others and sell solutions.
• Coaching, mentoring and leadership skills to manage a team.
• Experience in Interest rate risk management (IRRBB regulation), B/S management, P/L planning and strategy development (including medium-term planning)
• Experience in assessing and setting FTP and internal pricing benchmarks by leveraging knowledge in cash market and FX market pricing.
• Strong understanding of the regulatory environment with particular focus on the local liquidity regulations
