Your new role

You will work alongside business stakeholders, subject matter experts, digital counterparts and external partners to determine end user requirements, functional specification, and end user training material. They are seeking a collaborative individual with excellent stakeholder management skills who will be confident in communicating complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders, along with strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modelling, data analysis, and reporting tools.

A day in the life of a Finance and Payroll Administrator

Supporting company operations by effective data input and administration of the payroll, sales ledger, credit control processes with high focus on exceptional customer service. Your purpose is to ensure all sales ledger postings are made in a timely manner to be certain that the sales ledger is up to date and accurate at all times.


To support the Sales Ledger/Credit Control and Payroll team by ensuring the accuracy of data inputting and personal information, to ensure relevant client/staff files and databases are kept up to date.
Follow local authority guidelines on debt collection and keep them informed.
Process customer Direct Debit Forms and Payments via BACS.
Enter all Sales Invoices onto Sage, carrying out a monthly reconciliation of all sales.
To act as a source of advice on the day-to-day details of the sales ledger and payroll system and to respond to their enquiries.
Liaise with internal operational teams on the day-to-day sales/payroll enquiries.
Collate information regarding problems debts or special cases to transfer to social services.
Monitor all invoices issued and payments received to maintain accurate debtor information.


Must haves


Proficient in IT systems, spreadsheets (with ability to understand formulas), databases, writing professional letters
Currently studying or completion of AAT Level 2
Previous experience dealing with the public / customer service
Strong administrative and numerical skills
GCSE passes or equivalent in Maths and English
Able to deal effectively with contracts and administrative staff of local authorities and to understand their needs and constraints
Exceptional communication and organisational skills
Friendly, positive, and supporting attitude

JOB SUMMARY

To provide a high quality front of house administration & clerical service for all users of the Integrated Musculoskeletal, Pain & Rheumatology Service (IMPReS), ensuring that the administration associated with all patient appointments is completed accurately and in a timely manner. Dealing with in-bound and out-bound calls to agreed professional standards and providing administration and monitoring support for the referral pathways.



Under the guidance of the Team Lead the post holder will on a daily basis monitor the demand of referrals that have been activated through e-referrals and ensure enough triage time Is allocated and scheduled across MSK and Physio Extended Scope Practitioners to ensure that they are triaged within the 24 hour target set by the CCG Commissioners and to ensure there are no breaches.

MAIN DUTIES

Act as the first point of contact for all users of the Integrated MSK, Pain & Rheumatology Service. Be committed to continuous improvement of data quality within the SPOA and Booking Teams and to contribute towards and support service improvement

Excellent customer service skills when dealing with enquiries from patients, members of the public and staff, in a polite and appropriate manner at all times. Receive sensitive and contentious information/queries of a confidential nature and to be able to deal with it in an appropriate manner, using tact or persuasive skills, to neither offend or antagonise when there are barriers due to culture, language differences or complexity of their conditions.

Liaise with patients to arrange a mutually convenient appointment whilst taking into consideration clinical priority, availability of clinicians and the constrictions of the Access Booking Targets and enter the information onto the Integrated MSK, Pain & Rheumatology Service e-scheduling- and information management systems.

Ensure patients are inputted onto the correct waiting list recording accurate and up-to-date confidential data on to computerised systems, i.e. EMIS, Choose and Book, Continuum, PAS etc.

Organise as and when required the attendance of interpreter/link workers for patients attending clinics as per Trust guidelines.

Ensure DNA’s are actioned in line with Trust Policy.

Provide cover for receptionist when required.

General clerical duties

Able to work without supervision and as part of a team and manage own time maintaining up to date and efficient administration systems.

Responsible for recording of all triage decisions made by clinician’s that come through SPOA and then re-direct them to the relevant service/teams.

Record triage data on a daily basis onto the SPOA spreadsheet.

Ensure urgent and routine referrals are managed appropriately and within agreed timeframes.

Attend all mandatory training and update sessions including manual handling and fire lectures.

Due to recent promotions within the Lancashire Diabetic Eye Screening Programme we are now looking to recruit 1 X Diabetic Eye Screener/Photographers to work in various community health centres across the East Lancashire and Blackburn with Darwen Area

As one of our screeners you will be joining a very busy, professional team of motivated and highly skilled individuals, you`ll run local clinics to see our patients and photograph their eyes to assess for diabetic retinopathy.

We`ll need you to be empathetic and able to screen patients on a daily basis. In this role, you`ll be supported whilst undertaking your training, but once that`s completed will be working largely unsupervised in a pressured environment, so a cool head is essential!

All in all, we want you to be customer and people focused, caring about our patients and being passionate about delivering an exceptional service at all times.

Who we are

Lancashire Diabetic Eye Screening serves a population of over 86,000 eligible diabetic patients and covers an area of 2800 square miles; we are a very busy, clinically focused team with the patient at the heart of all we do.

We operate from two bases, the main administrative and grading hub is based at the Holden Centre Barrowford, Nelson and we have a second satellite failsafe and grading office based at the Whitegate Drive Health Centre in Blackpool.

The screening service has been provided by East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust since April 2019

JOB SUMMARY

To provide a safe and secure Diabetic Eye Screening Service to the diabetic population in the Lancashire area, in accordance with National and company policies and procedures, with the aim of reducing new blindness due to diabetic retinopathy.

Work as a team member of the Lancashire Diabetic Eye Screening Programme

Delivering diabetic eye screening to eligible clients aged 12 and over across the Lancashire programme from community locations, which includes pre-screening patients, eye drop instillation and carrying out digital photography

Provide assistance as required in clerical tasks at the grading centre

MAIN DUTIES
1. Work independently and be responsible for managing own workload, time and priorities.
2. Be accountable for own decisions and actions.
3. Recognise when to seek further advice, and seek advice appropriately.

Screening/Digital photography
1. Deliver digital photographic retinal screening to patients with diabetes aged 12 and over registered with an East Lancashire General Practice.
2. Drive to screening location.
3. Install mobile equipment at designated screening location in accordance with proper and safe use, identified protocols and the operational policies of both the Lancashire Diabetic Eye Screening Programme and of the designated screening location.
4. Set up the allocated room(s) as required and in accordance with proper and safe use, identified protocols and the operational policies of both the Lancashire Diabetic Eye Screening Programme and of the designated screening location.
5. Conduct Diabetic Eye Screening sessions in accordance with proper and safe practice, national standards, and identified protocols and with the operational policies of both the Lancashire Diabetic Eye Screening Programme and National policies and procedures.
6. Uninstall mobile equipment and leave allocated room(s) in a proper and safe condition as according to local protocols and operational policies.
7. Explain the screening procedure to each patient according to National and local policy and procedures
8. Confirm and record electronically patients’ identity and demographic information
9. Obtain and record electronically appropriate consent to screening and information sharing, according to National and local policy and procedures
10. Ascertain that the patient is suitable for digital photographic screening in accordance with protocols. Record this information electronically.
11. Help patients prepare for screening by providing reassurance and information as required according to National and local policy and procedures
12. Perform visual acuity testing protocols and record the results electronically, according to National and local policy and procedures.
13. Explaining possible side effects to the patient of the Tropicamide 1% eye drops and give leaflet to patient. Ask patient if they have had a contra-indication to eye drops in the past, according to National and local policy and procedures
14. Explain driving policy to patients before instilling eye drops, according to National and local policy and procedures.
15. Instil mydriatic eye-drops according to National and local policy and procedures, being aware of contra-indications and possible side-effects, and record relevant information electronically.
16. Capture digital retinal images according to National and local policy and procedures. Ensure images are correctly stored and labelled. Record additional relevant information electronically and/or on paper.
17. To triage digital images according to National and local policy and procedures.
18. Educate patients according to National and local policy and procedures and expertise on the importance of Diabetic Eye Screening and encourage participation in screening

You will be part of delivering a significant transformation to the way services are accessed and delivered. We are looking for a team leader to manage our specialist call handlers dealing with referral, enquiries from patients, service users, carers and clinicians for mental health services.

The role would be suitable for those with experience of patient and service user contact, an excellent telephone manner and a strong customer focus. Comprehensive training will be provided to the right candidate

The new service offers:


• A single referral point for GPs and other professionals
• A 24-hour telephone advice and support for people who use services and carers to be able to self-refer
• More responsive crisis services with improved experiences for people who use services, carers and professionals

Our aim is to provide people with mental health issues access to the support they need at the right time, with positive outcomes.
The service is 24/7 but as a call handler you will be working a shift pattern within our team based in Accrington at The Mount.

To provide a call reception service for enquiries and referrals into LSCFT in the designated locality.

To support the referral pathway- engaging with service users, carers, members of the public and other professionals to ensure that calls are dealt with efficiently and routed appropriately. This involves administrative tasks associated with the maintenance of health records, scheduling appointments.

To provide rapid response/ face to face triage function in the community with Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner (MHP), which may require driving.

Utilising a high level of customer service skills at all times, provide a call handling role to the Access Service ensuring that demographic detail is correctly recorded and all calls are routed appropriately.

To ensure that all clinical information is effectively communicated and documented within the electronic records system as per agreed Trust standards.

Provide relevant information regarding local statutory and non-statutory services that may be able to assist the individual, the family or carers.

Communicate effectively with service users, carers, colleagues and all other Professionals.

Participate in the continuous development of the service.

To have the ability to work under direct/indirect supervision when providing individualised care.

To support the referral Pathway into LSCFT services, inclusive of scheduling appointments.
