To lead and manage service delivery of a a regional SEDU and Norfolk Community Eating Disorder Service; delivering safe and effective high-quality services, within the available resources, to achieve Trust and regional targets.

The post holder will provide leadership and expertise to deliver services within an agreed service model, working with Service Managers, service users and other stakeholders, maintaining effective working relationships within the teams and Directorate. The post holder will work to establish and sustain effective multi-disciplinary working within and across teams and develop effective local partnerships with key stakeholders.

Engagement with commissioners and stakeholders will be a core part of the role, as the Service Manager will work closely with external partners to shape, enhance, and ensure the sustainability of these essential services. Key Responsibilities – Interim Finance Manager/Accountant

• Budgeting & Departmental Analysis

The role

As our Senior Manager for Children’s Finance, you will be responsible for overall financial management and business partnering support for a gross budget of £335m (including DSG) across the following service areas –

The candidate

You will be a CCAB Qualified Accountant with extensive finance business partnering experience at a local authority or similar, with Children’s Service experience being highly beneficial. We are looking for a passionate and resilient manager, who can build strong working relationships across finance, children’s services and external partners in order to deliver results and ensure the financial sustainability of children’s services. You should be a highly motivated individual with a can-do attitude, committed to achieving a high level of customer satisfaction and making a real and demonstrable difference to the Council’s business and residents.

Key Tasks

• To manage and develop the accounting system, computerised and manual processes around the system, to meet the needs of the College and the MAT
• To control the collection, banking and disbursement of all official monies within the College and MAT and ensure that they are accounted for in accordance with financial regulations

• To maintain budgetary control and inform the Principal of budget spend

Your new role
In your new role as Finance Manager you will manage a team of three Management Accountants who collectively look after over 20 different entities. You will be responsible for implementing best practice processes and controls in place around all aspects of the general ledger posting and reconciliations processes, implementing timetables and checklists for work to be completed. You will take a lead on cost and revenue transactions are posted accurately for all operating and management companies in the Group. You will look after all associated balance sheet reconciliations are performed accurately and in a timely manner. You will support the Financial Controller with additional adhoc commercial duties.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be an ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified Finance professional with experience working within a large complex organisation, ideally within the Property and Construction sector. You will have a strong attention to detail and be able to challenge existing processes and suggest improvements. You will have the ability to communicate to all levels both within the finance team and across the business.
