An exciting opportunity has arisen linked to an expansion of the Events and Commercial Services Team. The Events and Commercial Services team are responsible for the planning, development and delivery of our private events provision across the Yorkshire and Humber Region. The expansion of this team will allow us to further develop our excellent events and commercial services through the development and delivery of a commercial strategy.

The Events and Commercial Services Manager will provide hands-on leadership role with line management responsibility for a dedicated team of operational staff aligned to the provision of event medical cover plus a wider resource pool taken from the frontline operational team working additional shifts. In addition, supporting the Head of Events, Commercial Services and Community Resilience, the successful candidate will be a key contributor to the work to develop our Commercial and Events Strategy and ensure its successful delivery. The postholder will be working across Yorkshire and Humber with a need to regularly travel to meet with a range of clients and part of our customer relationship strategy.

The main duties of the job will include:

Day to day running of the Events and Commercial Service team - including financial responsibility, team leader support to operational team, and event resource planning

Contribution to the development and delivery of the trust Commercial Strategy in support of the Head of Events, Commercial Services and Community Resilience.

As a core part of the Events Operational team the Events and Commercial Service Manager will also be required to undertake the role of Operational Commander at sports stadia and event venues across Yorkshire.

As Team Leader for the Events team, you will be accountable for team performance - including shift fill rates, adherence to allocated budget, patient care, and resource availability – the key areas of focus will include ensuring all bookings are correctly resourced against quotes produced that achieve financial benefit for YAS (Yorkshire Ambulance Service), managing relationships with stadium safety officers and other key contacts within the regional events industry. Furthermore, ensure a safe, professional, and progressive work environment and team engagement – fostering effective communication within the team and wider Trust, promoting openness and inclusive at all times.

Key Responsibilities – Interim Finance Manager/Accountant

• Budgeting & Departmental Analysis

Qualifications & Experience – Interim Finance Manager/Accountant

• ACCA/CIMA qualified (or part qualified with experience)
• Worked within the engineering/manufacturing industry
• Experience of using XERO software
• Strong interpersonal skills, meticulous planning skills and a result orientated mindset.
• Current and up to date experience with management accounts and financial accounts.
• Solid experience in SME’s across sectors and strong financial reporting experience.
• Experience in budget management and able to plan and report on variance analysis.
• Able to produce detailed financial reports and present to the board and communicate company needs to the wider business and stakeholders.

Yorkshire Ambulance Service currently has a vacancy for the position of HART Training and Assurance Manager. The base station for this post will be Leeds, with the successful candidate required to travel between sites throughout Yorkshire and nationally.

The post holder will also be required to attend incidents undertaking the role of National Inter agency Liaison Officer (NILO) by participating in an on-call rota.
