Overview

Highland Cinema is looking for an experienced, capable and enthusiastic Administration & Finance Manager to join as one of our key Senior Managers. In this exciting role, you will work closely with the existing Senior Management Team and Duty Managers to help maintain, shape and improve all aspects of our operation. The successful candidate will be involved in many aspects of day-to-day office management and the running of the cinema and café bar operations. Duties and responsibilities

• To support the General Manager and their Deputies at a senior level.
• To handle all day-to-day aspects of finances and bookkeeping for Highland Cinema.
• To compile and pay purchase invoices on a weekly basis.
• To deal with company mail and emails on a daily basis.
• To issue sales invoices and chase late payments for events and private bookings.
• To coordinate all cash handling and maintain records in an accurate manner.
• To reconcile all credit card transactions and other receipts.
• To complete daily, weekly and monthly sales and cash reports for Management.
• To complete the quarterly VAT submissions.
• To submit and pay PAYE via Government Gateway.
• To compile and maintain staff records and hours/holiday periods/sickness for the Payroll procedure.
• To account for and operate as the ‘Tronc Master’ for the tips for the staff in a timely manner, as agreed with the General Manager.
• To schedule and minute managerial meetings as required and issue the minutes, also at this time to produce a brief all staff email with relevant information to keep them informed.
• To deputise for the General Manager in their absence.
• To assist the General Manager with any HR issues arising and issue HR documents.
• To maintain and update two Point of Sale database systems.

Essential experience and competencies

• Experience of bookkeeping software. Currently we use Xero and Google Workspace.
• Experience working in a financial role, with budgetary and negotiation skills.
• Must be detail orientated with strong organisational skills.
• Able to ensure that in all matters the Highland Cinema is represented professionally and positively.
• Experience of working in a collaborative team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure to time scales and targets.
• Self-motivated, able to work autonomously, use own initiative and engage and assist the team in a variety of diverse activities.
• Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with staff, suppliers and customers.

The Manager, reconciliations is responsible for leading and managing Reconciliations Officers, who administer the reconciliation and settlement of payment items that flow through the Bank and support the branch network through systems and investigations. This Manager, Reconciliations leads a team critical in supporting our business through high-volume, peak periods and provides control through the reconciliation and investigation of transactions that can be high-risk, this includes:

• Electronic payments such as ABM/POS
• Business Online Services such as Wires, CAFT, E-Transfer, E-Bill, and Visa Card payments

The role will build strong relationships and collaborate with other leaders & teams across the centralized operations group to drive a high level of operational effectiveness which aligns with organizational goals and strategic objectives.

What you’ll be doing

Leadership 

• Direct management and leadership oversight of a team; including employees and contractors. This includes effective hiring, talent development, performance management and reward processes and programs across areas of responsibility that positively impact attraction, motivation, engagement, and retention of best-in-class talent.

• Identify gaps in standard operating procedures, provide recommendations for improvements and assist with documentation to drive consistent and predictable daily outcomes, and strong data integrity.

• Work with the business and key stakeholder to establish Operational Effectiveness methodology and a structured process which ensures the success in achieving operational effectiveness objectives for the implementation, continuous improvement and efficiency, and sustainment of our CWBFG operational processes to ensure the branch and client experience is enhanced. 
• Be a key leader for activities related to identifying opportunities to increase capacity, efficiency and functionality of tasks within specialization. This role will contribute to the plan for implementing these opportunities, then reporting and measuring on the ROI of efficiencies for reporting to Operational Effectiveness with direction from the Sr Mgr.
