We are currently seeking a full time Healthcare Assistant to work within our busy 27 bedded Female Trauma orthopaedic ward. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team.

To provide all aspects of general care to orthopaedic patients, working flexibly to meet the needs of the service.

You will be required to assist the qualified staff caring for patients who may have medical conditions and have sustained fractures or have an acute orthopaedic condition.


You will be part of a dedicated team in providing individualised holistic care working within the bay based nursing approach, to maintain and improve the standards we have met. The vacancy is internal rotation and 37.5 hours per week. Support will be offered through Trust Induction, completion of Care Certificate and our Practice Development Sister.

Main duties of the post holder will include providing personal care, documenting changes within the patients, dietary and fluid intake as well as fluid output, bowel movements, general condition and presentation as well as escalating to other healthcare professionals. We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Assistant Psychologist to join the Children and Young People’s Psychological Service (CYPPS), Blackpool. CYPPS is a uni-disciplinary service of Clinical Psychologists who aim to deliver high quality innovative psychological solutions with service users through consultation, parent workshops, and individual, systemic/family and group work.

Your role within the service will be to support psychological assessment and deliver manualised psychological interventions under supervision. You will also support audit, service development and service evaluation.

We are a small, supportive team; you would have opportunities to shadow clinical work and develop your own skills. The service is co-located with other Children’s Services working on the Fylde Coast and there is ample opportunity to meet and work with other Assistant Psychologists and engage with cross-service working.

• To support the professional and psychological care of clients within the service; providing psychological assessment and manualised psychological interventions.
