Job Advert – Band 4 Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP)

Contract: 12 months training contract
We currently have exciting opportunities for Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWP) to join RDASH Talking Therapies, with posts in Doncaster, Rotherham and Scunthorpe.
We are a well-established and high performing Talking Therapies service, with the service originally being one of the national demonstration sites in 2006.
The service provides a wide range of evidence-based psychological interventions options, including: guided self-help, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR), person-centred experiential therapy (PCET), interpersonal therapy (IPT) and Couples Therapy for Depression.
Successful applicants will undertake the Low Intensity Psychological Interventions Course at the University of Sheffield one day per week.
Whilst with the service, Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners will often be working independently within GP practices and community settings but under the supervision of an experienced practitioner and have the motivation and capacity to help develop the service and improve patient care. In particular you will help deliver and support the treatment of anxiety and depression in primary care using a range of evidence-based treatments including psycho-education and guided self-help, predominantly face-to-to-face, but also with a facility for group and computerised formats. You will receive regular case management and clinical supervision.
