You would be providing direct patient care in minor injuries and minor illness with in the Urgent Treatment Centre. You will work alongside Emergency Nurse Practitioners, Triage Nurses and GPs. This is a chance to work with a very established and experienced team with a wealth of knowledge to share with the right candidate!

You will be required to work on both the Lister and QEII sites and will be operating 12 hours shifts either starting 07:45 or 12:00 midday.

Currently we are seeing up to 150 patients a day, this very busy unit is run by dedicated specialists, providing an excellent standard of patient care.

You will be a fundamental part of the Urgent Treatment Centre team and will work closely with the Matron for Acute Services, to ensure that patient satisfaction is key.

As a post holder, you will:
• provide professional leadership and a management approach that contributes to creating and developing strong working relationships to achieve common goals.
• need to demonstrate a strong understanding of minor injuries and illness, be able to interpret x-ray and identify safeguarding concerns in both adult and children.
• excellent interpersonal and communication skills be able to demonstrate an enquiring mind in order to work effectively and respond appropriately to challenging situations.
