Ron Johnson is a highly specialised HIV/ Oncology/ Dermatology ward consisting of 19 en-suite side rooms. We are a tertiary referral unit for HIV and HIV related malignancy.

We are a dynamic ward and provide care to patients with varied nursing needs including, administering chemotherapy for patients as an in-patient, delivering excellent patient centered palliative care while supporting families through this often difficult time, we provide care for HIV positive patients and manage their various health needs. We have a highly skilled multidisciplinary team who are dedicated to our specialty and pride themselves in excellent diagnostics, treatment, holistic therapies and nursing care. The Hand Therapy Team at the Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust has an exciting opening for either an Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist with previous experience in Hand Therapy to join our team.

The role includes a varied patient caseload of trauma and acquired conditions of the hand and wrist, from both Orthopaedic and Plastic Hand Surgeons. Hand therapy is carried out in closed trauma fracture clinics, on the ward, and in out-patient settings for post-operative and non-operative patients. The team comprises 16 qualified therapists and a therapy assistant. There is regular MDT teaching and support for learning through in-service training and supervision.

Ophthalmic Nurse Practitioner, Band 7

Fixed-Term/Secondment: 12 months

We are looking for an Ophthalmic Nurse Practitioner who has experience in intravitreal injections, POA/Biometry and pre/postoperative review of patients who have undergone cataract surgery.

This position will clinically support the ophthalmology department and will be responsible for transforming the way in which we provide ophthalmology services at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital through application of Royal College and national recommendations such as Getting It Right First Time (GIRFT) to deliver a sustainable and modern ophthalmology department.

Candidates who do not have experience in injections are welcomed to apply as well, but they will be remunerated at a Band 6 level. We will provide training in injections and upon successful completion/formal assessment the post holder will be uplifted to Band 7.

An opportunity has arisen to join the Planned Care Surgery Operational team as an Assistant Service Manager in Chelsea and Westminster Hospital supporting Ophthalmology, Pain and Plastic Surgery services.

The Assistant Service Manager will work closely with nursing, administrative and clinical teams to deliver excellent performance and achieve agreed productivity targets. You will be responsible for the delivery of high quality and efficient patient services in defined clinical areas and will work on and support the direct management of a range of agreed projects and service improvement initiatives.

This is a fast paced and busy role and you should ideally have some operational experience at a junior level, delivering improvements to systems, processes and performance, working across a wide range of staff to achieve good outcomes for patients. You will have excellent communication skills - both oral and verbal - and will be able to work well under pressure, balancing competing demands and meeting tight deadlines.

Operational Management
• Provide hands-on operational management to designated areas of the Division, ensuring the delivery of services in line with expected service standards.
• Be accountable through the General Manager, Deputy General Manager and Service Manager for the monitoring and delivery of key quality, productivity and performance targets.
• Promote excellent customer service throughout all areas of responsibility, taking remedial action to correct poor and unresponsive service

Financial Management
• Play an active role in identifying areas within the service where expenditure can be reduced and/or income generated (CIP)

• Undertake detailed information analysis of specific projects/reports requiring high levels of analysis.

• The post is for a Locum Consultant in Sexual Health and HIV Medicine based at the West Middlesex University Hospital.

Accountable to the General Manager, and working in partnership with Service Directors and Matrons, the Deputy General Manager (DGM) will support in the operational delivery of Emergency and Acute services, focussing on delivery of the A&E waiting time standards, financial performance, governance, change and business development across the directorate. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring good governance and processes for monitoring delivery against all KPIs are in place.



The Deputy General Manager will play an important role overseeing development of the Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) pathway, ensuring the smooth transition of patients between primary care, ED and Ambulatory Emergency Care (AEC). Working within the inpatient heart failure team at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital including cross site working at West Middlesex Hospital.

• The Lead Nurse will employ highly developed, expert clinical skills to assess patient need, co-ordinate care, manage treatment and provide specialist clinical leadership
