Trainee Traffic Maintenance Engineer - What you'll do:​​​​​​​

As a Trainee Traffic Maintenance Engineer, you will work closely with one of our experienced and qualified Traffic Engineers to troubleshoot, fix, maintain, and test a range of Traffic Signals / Traffic Lights and electrical equipment that is associated with this, in and around the Aylesford and Kent regions. Training isn't just in a classroom, it is a healthy mix of 'on the job' learning and on-site working, providing you with an opportunity to work towards an NVQ Level 2 in Highways Electrical Installations (LANTRA) and Sector based certifications such as ECS / HERS and the National Highways Sector Scheme (NHSS) Chapter 8, enhancing your knowledge and capabilities in this area of Engineering.

Trainee Traffic Maintenance Engineer - Who you are:

You will naturally have an interest in being 'hands on' and be willing to learn a new skillset. The prospect of troubleshooting, fixing, testing and maintaining (traffic) electrical equipment must excite you, especially on Traffic Signalling equipment. Any previous experience working within an electrical or an engineering environment is preferred but not essential, providing you are willing to embrace a new role and you are determined to learn. If you enjoy working outdoors and enjoy physically demanding work, then look no further - this is the right role for you.

Trainee Traffic Maintenance Engineer - Key requirements / behaviours:

• Highly motivated, willing to learn on the job and via online sources
