• Assist in the design and development of engineered devices, equipment or systems using established criteria or specifications.

• Conducts continual planning for current and future maintenance and upgrading of all mechanical systems to achieve reliable performance, maximum efficiency, minimum operation and maintenance requirements.

• Conducts site visits with potential contractors during the procurement phase and with Contract Management personnel during construction to verify scopes of work.

The major duties of the Interdisciplinary General Engineer/Landscape Architect position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Assists the Project Manager (PM) in initiating, establishing, guiding, and controlling one or more design/construction projects from inception through completion.
• Guides project formulation, and development through to completion of projects that are within quality, budget, and schedule commitments.
• Responsible for writing scopes of work; developing Government estimates; assisting in the negotiation of task orders and construction contracts; coordinating contracted efforts; providing quality assurance of contracted products; and closing out compliance, pre-design, design, and construction management efforts provided by numerous external contractors performing professional services on major, simple to highly complex, multi-phased projects.
• Works expeditiously with team members to resolve all outstanding issues due to deficient work. Incumbent serves as the primary or alternate Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) on assigned projects.
