Job Role: Apprentice Mechanical Engineer
Location: HMP Rochester
Contract: Mon-Fri (1 day in college)
Due to the environment we work in, all applicants will need to be 18+ at the time of making an application.
The salary offered to the successful apprentice will be age dependent based on the current government guidelines:
18 - 20 Years old: £17,440.80
21 years and above: £23,200.32

We are a Ministry of Justice business and provide critical and time-bound services to HMPPS, and do not require any experience for this role. You will be working very closely with another on site electrician, as well as our electrical trained Site Manager.
As our Engineering Apprentice, we'll help you to become qualified so you can:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance
- Provide general maintenance of equipment
- Modify, test and inspect condition-based monitoring and fault finding with our systems
- Help improve systems on our sites where required
- Work on technology which monitors and controls all aspects of processes and their performance across the site
- Carry out risk assessments and method statements to ensure activities are completed in a safe manner at all times
