A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Design Engineer at a market-leading group in providing services and systems to customers in the automotive, transport, tyre, petrochemical and defence industries. Part of this role will be to engineer and design solutions covering a broad range of integration and conversion projects.
We are looking for Mechanical Design Engineers to join this outstanding company that specialise in vehicle testing and engineering services in automotive.
The company is looking for candidates with varied levels of experience in Automotive engineering and is experienced in CAD, modelling, assemblies and technical drawings preferably in SolidWorks.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Design and engineer integration solutions and automotive upgrades on a range of vehicles including passenger cars, light commercial vehicles, trucks and buses.
- Work with other engineering specialists (Electrical, electronic, software, production) to provide automotive conversion services to our clients
- Consider both technical and commercial aspects for new programmes and projects
Person Specification Qualifications
- Educated to degree level or equivalent in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering
Skills:
- Automotive engineering to vehicle manufacturer quality standards
- Experienced in CAD, modelling, assemblies and technical drawings preferably in SolidWorks
- CAD surfacing skills are highly desirable
- Knowledge of vehicle systems, legislative requirements and equipment supplier capabilities
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Problem solving and innovation
- Flexibility to travel (within UK and Overseas) as and when required
- Full UK driving license
Shift pattern is Monday - Friday
