• Serves as a data manager to assist/develop center's wide policy for managing center's data.
• Designs and coordinates protocols and procedures for data integration.
• Advise center scientists and data stewards.
• Coordinates records management, curation, and preservation processes.

As an Interdisciplinary Data Scientist within the Eastern Ecological Science Center, some of your specific duties will include:

• Serves as a data manager to assist/develop center's wide policy for managing center's data.

• Advise center scientists and data stewards.
• Coordinates records management, curation, and preservation processes.

• Incumbent plans, directs and manages the work of the Branch, including budgets and schedules.
• Makes final recommendations to supervisor on current and long-range plans for resource requirements, to include budget, personnel and space requirements.
• Represents the Division in negotiating major contracts and scopes of work with professional services firms, universities and colleges, and firms specializing in environmental and cultural resource evaluation, in connection with USACE mission areas.
• Provides oversight in preparation of materials, programs and exhibits for presentation to public and private groups, local conservation commissions, watershed organizations, and municipal, state and federal Government agencies.
• Represents the District by leading and/or participating in regional and national meetings to build interagency, intra-agency, and stakeholder relationships and to identify collaboration opportunities.

• Work under the general supervision of the Engineer who makes assignments in terms of objectives, priorities, and possible course of action.
• Perform recurring tasks independently, applying knowledge gained through experience in the practical applications of the methods and techniques of civil engineering and construction management.
• Exercise independent judgment and decision making in construction quality assurance (QA) determinations.
• Perform nonprofessional civil engineering work involved in the maintenance, repair, alteration, and construction of Cape Cod Canal project buildings, structures, and facilities.
• Plan, develop, and coordinate the execution of a wide variety of maintenance and repair projects which include certain new features and nonstandard design characteristics.
• Perform complete engineering projects of relatively limited scope, and portions of larger, more diverse projects throughout the entire geographic area.
