We’re seeking a talented and motivated Junior Data Engineer to join our dynamic Claims Analytics team. Our aim is to deliver a robust platform that enables Machine Learning and analytics to drive indemnity savings, efficiency benefits and improved customer outcomes. We’re focused on developing our data engineering capability so that machine learning and AI solutions can be developed and deployed internally in a sustainable way within claims analytics. You’ll have the opportunity to develop your skills in data orchestration, data governance, CI/CD and MLOps. You’ll assist in the development of robust data pipelines, optimise data storage and retrieval, and contribute to the overall success of our data-driven initiatives.

What you’ll be doing:

Design, build and deploy data systems, pipelines, and applications and maintain current data pipelines.
Build a detailed knowledge of AXA data sources, both internal and external.
Ingest data from a variety of data sources from relational databases to unstructured data such as text documents.
Operate in fast-paced, iterative environment while remaining compliant with Information Security policies and standards.
Collaborate with data analysts and data scientists to prepare data for use in their advanced analytical models.
Help transform the existing platform and pipelines to enable us to run faster and with more quality, implementing activities such as more advanced orchestration (DAGs), data quality checks, catalogues, MLOps.
Design re-usable code and data assets to enable team activity using Software Engineering best practices and code frameworks.
Ensure Data Governance practices are followed regarding the data assets created.
Build market leading data engineering solutions and building our cloud-based data asset to enable commercial decision making based on rich, robust data.

Our specialist Motor Engineering team provides technical expertise to our Motor Claims departments, customers, suppliers and brokers. To drive our team forward, we are looking for an induvial who is looking to gain valuable skills through our dedicated training programme to enhance their career.
Working in the Motor Engineering Team, as an Engineering Technical Assistant you’ll be responsible for managing and controlling the damage spend within the Engineering unit, in relation to ongoing motor claims.

What you’ll be doing:

Valuing and providing the settlement of total loss claims on stolen unrecovered vehicles.
You’ll be instrumental in supporting our customers with Motor Technical queries during the claims process for both internal and external customers.
Ensuring all claims are managed within specific service standards and ensuring claims are adequately reserved and settled fairly.
During the assessment of vehicle damage claims, you’ll be using a variety of sources such as written reports, data, assessments from computerised estimating systems and digital images.
