What You Will Do:
Design, setup, and management of secure, reliable, scalable, and highly available middleware infrastructure in complex on-premise and commercial cloud environments for both internet and intranet enterprise applications in alignment with technology strategies, best practices, and roadmaps.
Install, configure, tune, administer, maintain and troubleshoot varying COTS and open-source middleware applications including but not limited to:
OpenShift, GitLab, CloudVault, IBM WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere Portal Server, IBM HttpServer, Oracle WebLogic, IIS, JBOSS, Apache, Nginx, Tomcat, Oracle Business Intelligence, Nextcloud, Python, PHP
Automate day to day tasks for middleware infrastructure using shell scripts and/or Python from GitLab and Ansible.
Uses automation tools (Ansible, GitLab, Artifactory, Powershell, Bash, Python) to automate recurring activities.
Support coordination of project specific technical discussions with project management, technical teams, business analysts, and end users.
Design / Architect / Test / Maintain new customer solutions as required.
Providing 24/7 on call support for mission critical production environments.
Manage and resolving critical issues followed by identification of the root cause.
Be involved in supporting load testing team during various testing phases for performance tuning the environment and monitoring through resource analyzer.
Resolves customer and internal security vulnerabilities for a varied set of applications.
Advise the organization on general systems architecture / best practices / design.
Acts as a general reference for troubleshooting difficult technical problems within the organization.
What You Will Need:
BA/BS Degree. In lieu of degree 4 years additional experience will be needed.
6-8 years of experience of prior relevant work experience.
Experience with OpenShift, GitLab, CloudVault, some commercial cloud experience, and automation/code writing.
Strong written and oral communication skills in the English language. All contractor employees must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
Contractor personnel performing in a leadership capacity shall be capable of directing contractor personnel and interfacing with the Government and customers.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Strong time-management and prioritization skills.
Ability to communicate applicable technical subject matter expertise to management and others.
DISC follows the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) service operation best practices. It is important for the employees to demonstrate experience based on ITIL framework .
Ability to apply and provide feedback on service operation model and practices.
Must be US Citizen and able to pass government background check
What Would Be Nice To Have:
Commercial cloud familiarity in Azure, AWS, and GCP.
Willing and able to work non-standard hour.
The annual salary range for this position is $114,500.00-$171,700.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
