Key Responsibilities?

* Design and detail agricultural products using Onshape; generate drawings, BOMs, and engineering datasheets.
* Perform mechanical engineering calculations and finite element stress analysis using SolidWorks.
* Prepare technical reports, design specifications, and operational manuals; calculate cost estimates and report to the R&D Lead.
* Record and evaluate testing data, adjusting designs to meet safety standards.
* Liaise with clients, customers, engineers, and other staff to provide engineering support; stay updated on industry best practices.

?Essential Requirements

* Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering and certification in 3D modelling software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, Creo, etc.).
* 3 years’ experience in manufacturing industries and new product development.
* Expertise in computer-aided design (preferably Onshape and/or SolidWorks) and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
* Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.

Liaise with and supervise external contractors as required
Carry out duties related to mechanical workshop
Monitor and undertake repairs and servicing for all Ducats Trucks and equipment
Test run plant and equipment following major repairs
Running diagnostic tests on vehicles and equipment
Analyzing diagnostic test results
Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems
Performing preventative maintenance on vehicles and equipment
Maintaining detailed records of serviced equipment
Maintaining a parts inventory
Ensuring the cleanliness of the workshop

Skills and Experience
Diploma or Certificate in mechanical or automotive engineering
Valid driver's license
Knowledge of engine components
Good IT and diagnostic skills
Proficiency with maintenance and repair tools
Attention to detail - Must have good communication skills and be able to work as part of a team

Are you an experienced Field Service Engineer seeking a new opportunity?

Our superb client is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to join them on a permanent basis to be based in Peterborough travelling to customer sites across the region working core hours of 8.00am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday. Any work conducted outside of these hours will be payable as overtime.

Responsibilities

To be considered for the role of Field Service Engineer, you will have:-

Previous and recent service engineering and maintenance experience working on construction machinery / plant machinery, HGV or agricultural machinery.
You will carry out plant machinery diagnostics
Servicing and repairing in a customer facing site visit based role.

Skills required

As Field Service Engineer, you will be:-

A strong ambassador for your employer
You will need to be experienced in hydraulic systems, axles, manual transmission and power shift, working on cam-bus electrical systems and working on relevant machinery as detailed.
Will build strong business relationships with your customer
Promoting a professional company image at all times
Meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
You will hold NVQ Level 2, 3 or an equivalent qualification and will have proven relevant plant industry servicing and maintenance experience within construction, HGV, agricultural machinery.
You will have a full UK driving licence.
