The business is a multi-discipline company with projects upwards of £500m across several divisions including highways, building and rail however they also have a secure flow of work from frameworks for local authorities, National Highways, water companies and the Environment Agency.

Site Engineer duties include:

· Setting out with surveying equipment (GPS & Robotic Total Stations)

· Assist with quality control to ensure the standards are met in accordance to the design specifications

· Assist in producing permits to break ground (CAT Scanning management)

· Ensuring the highest health, safety and environmental standards are met on site adhering to the client's and business's requirement

· Liaise with the site team to approve materials ensuring they meet specification

· Keep accurate records of progress reports, site diaries and resource allocations

· Produce as-built drawings in AutoCAD

Building Services Manager, Mechanical, laboratory project
c£400 a day - to Feb 2025 - Reading
Working for a M&E contractor specialising in providing construction, services and property management expertise in Building and Civil Engineering, Property Development, Private House Building, Financing, Healthcare and Critical environments.
You will be charged with the delivery of Mechanical services on a Laboratory project near Reading in Berkshire with a total M&E value of around £60M. You will be required to carry out the full coordination and management of Mechanical services installations of this project working as part of a team.
Ideally educated to a minimum HNC level in a relevant field with a good level of experience working for at least 5 years within the MEP contracting arena. Mechanical background is essential.
The role will be the coordination of the installation of Mechanical services and management of an on-site M&E team who will monitor the progress of the M&E package managers on site.
An understanding of design and influence in M&E design coordination will be advantageous as would previous experience working on projects within the laboratory/ critical systems sector, although not essential. The role will also involve the production and implementation of the Commissioning.

Role and Responsibilities:

Deliver the section of works on time, understanding the project set-up, the roles played by different members of the team and details of the site and construction.

Be fully aware of what must be delivered and use this information to produce a short-term programme to complete the works required in this period.

Allocate tasks to Assistant Engineers and liaise with Trades Supervisors and manage the task to completion. Ensure the Inspection and Test Plans, and Quality

Check Sheets are completed at the same time as the work to ensure that it is delivered to specification.
