Position Overview

As we transition from a world of desktop products to that of products powered by cloud services, we're building our core underlying cloud fabric and kernel that is comprised of massively scalable, always-on, globally-deployed cloud infrastructure services that underpin our customer-facing systems. Engineers across product teams at Autodesk, utilize our kernel services to build our next generation of rich customer experiences.

We are seeking an engineer to help build Autodesk's worldwide data infrastructure. You will be part of a team that creates and deploys a data platform to enable the granular exchange of data between Autodesk products and third-party applications. Our core capabilities are developed in the AWS ecosystem and use state-of-the art technologies. These services range from heavy compute services to very complex data sharing services. You will report to QA Manager, and will be supported and encouraged to develop new skills.

The location of this role is hybrid in Toronto, ON.

Responsibilities

• You will collaborate with program managers and business teams to gather test requirements, define test plans, design test cases and automated tests, implement scalable test automation solutions, and implement the tests to deliver a high-quality product

• You will develop maintainable test automation frameworks, tools, and automated test suites in response to the growing feature set and customer requirements

• Be an integrated part of an Agile IT development team, working interactively with QA Manager, software engineers, test engineers, and product managers from the beginning of the development cycle

• You will work on continuous integration and continuous delivery while managing and maintaining CI and QA tools

• You will manage QA coverage of the products—integration testing (APIs), and end-to-end testing

• You will help develop a cloud strategy, design new cloud environments, and build architecture

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 4 plus years of experience as a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer well versed in Automated testing

• Experience with a variety of different testing techniques, such as UI Testing, Automated Testing (front end and backend), Test Driven Development Strategies and others

• At least 4 years of experience with software QA tools such as Cypress, Selenium, etc.

• Knowledge of coding using JavaScript or Typescript is required

• At least 3 years of backend testing experience using REST Assured/Jest

• Experience with AWS is highly preferable. The ability to support CI/CD tool integration throughout the development lifecycle is required

• Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Git, Azure devops, Jenkins, or Circle CI

Responsibilities 

• Involved with all aspects of software development, such as design, implementation, and maintenance, working to create the most reliable, secure, performant iOS application for our customers by leveraging cutting-edge technologies 

• Partner with product managers, product owners, software architects and other stakeholders to iteratively turn high-level requirements into product enhancements that are delivered to customers incrementally 

• Design, build, and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable code  

• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application  

• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong background in Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOA/OOD), demonstrating extensive experience and proficiency in these areas 

• Comprehensive technical knowledge in software development methodologies, design and implementation 

• Have a keen eye for detail and strive to write high-quality code 

• Sophisticated programming skills in C/C++  

• A deep familiarity with Objective-C and Cocoa Touch

• Amélioration continue : identifier les possibilités d'automatisation et d'optimisation des processus et de mise en œuvre de stratégies visant à améliorer le cycle de vie des MLOps.

• Dépannage et réponse aux incidents : permettre de résoudre les problèmes opérationnels, contribuant ainsi à la réponse aux incidents et à la récupération du système

Exigences minimales

• Formation : baccalauréat en informatique ou dans un domaine connexe, ou expérience équivalente

• Expérience infonuagique : expérience avec les plates-formes infonuagique, comme AWS ou Azure, pour le déploiement et la gestion d'infrastructures d'apprentissage automatique

• Expérience MLOps/DevOps : entre 3 ans et 5 ans d'expérience pratique dans les MLOps/DevOps dans un environnement de production

• Infrastructure sous forme de code (IaC) : maîtrise de la mise en œuvre des pratiques « Infrastructure as Code » à l'aide d'outils tels que Terraform

• Conteneurisation : expertise dans les technologies de conteneurisation (Docker, Kubernetes) pour l'orchestration et la mise à l'échelle des applications d'apprentissage automatique

• CI/CD : expérience démontrée dans la configuration et la gestion des pipelines d'intégration continue et de déploiement continu (IC/DC) pour les projets d'apprentissage automatique

• Script et automatisation : compétences en matière de script en Python, en Bash ou dans d'autres langages similaires pour automatiser les processus opérationnels

• Reconnaissance de la sécurité : compréhension des meilleures pratiques de sécurité dans les MLOps, notamment le chiffrement des données, les contrôles d'accès et les normes de conformité

​Compétences souhaitées :

• Structures d'apprentissage automatique : exposition aux structures d'apprentissage automatique les plus utilisées (TensorFlow, PyTorch) et leur intégration aux processus MLOps

• Outils de surveillance : familiarité / expérience avec les outils de surveillance et de journalisation (par exemple, Prometheus, Grafana, ou ELK Stack) pour le suivi des performances du modèle et du système.

• Méthodologie agile : familiarisez-vous avec les méthodologies de développement agile et travaillez dans un environnement itératif et collaboratif.

The person we are seeking for is a passionate and experienced software engineer who can work with us to combine the cutting-edge techniques and bring the AutoCAD user experience to next level on Android Platform. We expect the candidate to have deep knowledge of Android platform, be mindful of the impact to AutoCAD Mobile customers when developing the product and can work with cross functional and platform teams to deliver high quality product on schedule. This is a hybrid role in Vancouver.

Responsibilities

• Translate designs and product requirements into high quality code on the Android platform 

• Work in partnership with cross-functional teams to elaborate, design, and implement new features 

• Design, build, and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable code 

• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application 

• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs 

• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization 

• Build efficient and reusable front-end abstractions and systems 

• Push the envelope on cutting edge mobile technologies and front-end engineering best practices 

Minimum Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field 

• 3+ years of professional software development experience 

• Proficiency in Java or Kotlin 

• Familiarity with Android libraries, services, and SDKs 

• Familiarity with performance tuning, threading, and offline storage 

• Understanding of UX/UI standards 

• Solid understanding of the Android mobile app development cycle 

• Experience with developing cross-platform software components 

• Experience with Test Driven Development and continuous delivery 

• Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies

• Strong written and verbal communication skills 

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications

• Published Android apps in the Google Play store 

• Optimization and benchmarking skills 

• Familiarity with CAD software (Architectural, Mechanical, or Civil design)

Position Overview

Autodesk's Desktop Connector team is looking for a passionate Principal Software Engineer to join our team. This role will report to the Sr. Manager, Software Development. Our organizational ecosystem comprises desktop applications and cloud services. You will drive key parts of the implementation of the desktop connector application, which interacts with major Desktop products and Autodesk services like BIM, AutoCAD, C3D. This is an opportunity to work on applications that directly impact the millions of users of Autodesk products. You will be part of an agile engineering team of smart and highly motivated software engineers building world-class cloud software applications. You will work in a global organization and collaborate with local and remote colleagues from various disciplines like business, engineering, operations, and support. You would work with the latest technologies in a flexible environment.

Responsibilities

• You will contribute to all aspects of software development, from design to estimation to development and testing
• You will develop, debug, and build automated tests for multiple programming assignments
• You will partner with product owners, software architects, and other software engineers to iteratively turn high-level requirements into product enhancements that are delivered to customers incrementally
• Contribute to improvements in processes and deliverables that increase the effectiveness of the team in responding to customer and business need
• You will design and implement reusable and modular components that fit into existing services

This role is hybrid in Toronto, Ontario.

Minimum Qualifications

• 10+ years experience, developing software in .Net, well versed in using design patterns and developing complex solutions
• 5+ years experience with C# and developing windows forms, WPF applications

• Experience developing and consuming REST APIs and optimizing for performance
• Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes, and Agile methodologies, including Kanban/Sprint.
• BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in desktop development with understanding of components involved in a desktop app like DropBox
• 2+ years' experience with WCF and inter-process communication
• 2+ years' experience working in industry leading cloud platforms like AWS or similar
• Experience in building, running, and monitoring applications on a large scale
• Experience with multi-repo GIT code bases, profiling tools, testing frameworks, scripts, automated CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with relational or non-relational databases and database design principles at cloud scale
