Leidos is looking for a GNC engineer with experience in modeling missile performance to support our growing work in King of Prussia, PA or Eglin AFB, FL.   This is a technical engineering position to support design and analysis of advanced missiles with state of the art control systems.  Modeling and Simulation of missile performance will be conducted which requires knowledge of missile systems, including the acquisition and tracking sensors, and missile propulsion, aerodynamics, GNC, and seeker performance.  You will have the opportunity to work directly with US Government and prime contractors on the development of an advanced air-to-air and counter-hypersonics missile system.

The Electronic Warfare Division at Leidos has an opening for a Computational Fluid Dynamic engineer at Eglin AFB.

This is a technical engineering position performing computational fluid dynamics modeling and simulation for supersonic and hypersonic missiles.  The candidate will perform gridding, computational fluid dynamics simulations, gas dynamics calculations, flow visualization, and workflow programming, using both local and DoD Distributed Supercomputing Resource Centers for massive deployment and monitoring of solutions and harvesting of results.  These solutions will be used to generate multi-fidelity aerodynamic data and interfaced with computational structural dynamics models to advance research in fluid-thermal-structural interactions (FTSI) of high speed missiles.  In this primarily technical position, the candidate will be expected to also apply deep domain knowledge in order to help grow the Leidos air-breathing hypersonics program portfolio for our nation’s defense.

Primary Responsibilities

The Sr. Test and Quality Assurance Engineer will work with assigned Integrated Project Teams (IPTs) to develop the data management plan and overall quality control plan for test data for each test or demo. Routinely provides input into both testing and evaluation planning and reporting documents in accordance with Operational Test Command’s (OTC’s) responsibilities. May be assigned to several tests simultaneously in varying stages of planning, execution, or reporting.

The Sr. Test and Quality Assurance Engineer will conduct background research with the IPT assigned to the test or demonstration to determine testability of Critical Operational Issues and Criteria (COIC) and additional issues. Tasking will include:

• Development of test or other event concepts in support of the program requirements.
• Reviews of test methodologies for overall test design and for specific issue, criterion, and measure of performance requirements.
• Research and written reporting of background material for systems concepts being tested.
• Preparation of material for submission to the appropriate organizations to obtain approval to enter into testing activities.

The Sr. Test and Quality Assurance Engineer will identify test support requirements (funds, facilities, personnel, etc.); determine supplies, equipment, and other materials required; and prepares input to IPT for development of cost estimates for the test. Finalize the Test Plan (TP) which tasks the Test Organizations and other elements for support. Ensures cost phased obligation plan agrees with TP. Ensures that test equipment is accounted for, maintained, serviced, and turned-in upon test completion.

The mission of the 26 NOS is to operate and defend the Air Force (AF) Enterprise computer network consisting of the AF Wide Area Network (WAN) routers, AF Network Increment 1 (AFNET Inc 1) Gateways, and the 26 NOS Local Area Network (LAN) assets.

Primary Responsibilities

• Serve as a Boundary Protection Team Operator for the 26 Network Operations Squadron (26 NOS) at Maxwell Air force Base-Gunter Annex, Alabama.

• Oversees intrusion detection, intrusion prevention, boundary protection and vulnerability assessment operations to defend the Air Force Network (AFNet). 

• Identifies unknown or unauthorized sources which attempt to access the AFNet and, when such attempts occur, notifies the appropriate AF agencies. 

• Monitors, operates, and maintains intrusion detection/prevention systems, firewalls, load balancers, and web proxies to protect AFNet resources from both internal and external threat.

    Network Operations:

• Performing a full range of IT operations and maintenance services.

The QA Engineer will perform as a Multi-Function Systems Analyst and be responsible for the quality of services delivered on the program.  The senior leaders and national defense missions that are supported require that the AFNCR operations never fail, resulting in a fast-paced, challenging, but also rewarding environment.  The QA Engineer will ensure all performance standards, measures, and contract deliverables are in conformance with the contract and performance work statement (PWS), the Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan (QASP), Leidos’ EngineeringEdge NextGen (EENG) standard methodologies, industry standards and best practices, and the AFNCR Quality Control Plan (QCP).  As opportunities to improve process and performance are identified, the QA Engineer will guide the improvement to ensure effective implementation is achieved.
