Gloucester House Outreach Service is a unique service, offering skills and experience in both mental health and education. Although it has links, and some shared staff and working arrangements with Gloucester House, it is a service that can be purchased separately by local authorities or schools. The service works with children, families and the professional network around the child – for example schools, CAMHS and children’s services.

University College London Hospitals (UCLH) undertakes world-class research across many specialities including early phase, cancer, haematology, and neurology. As a senior research pharmacy technician (or Science Manufacturing Technician) you will be part of the pharmacy clinical trials team facilitating this research. Your key role is to set up new studies, maintain current and historical studies, and oversee the storage and receipt of clinical trials medicines. You will also be an important part of the team providing a high-quality dispensary service to our patients.


The postholder will acquire a broad overview of injectable research medicines, research delivery, dispensary management, and research governance, therefore would suit anyone with an interest in these areas. Prior experience of clinical trials or hospital pharmacy is desirable but not required.

The Opportunity:

We're looking for an interactive Teaching Assistant to join this team. This is a full-time, term-time-only, permanent position. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in helping students overcome learning challenges and realise their full potential in every lesson.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support learning and teaching across the curriculum, from primary to secondary school.
• Collaborate with teachers to plan, prepare, and deliver tailored learning activities for individuals, groups, or entire classes.
• Provide personalised learning support within our student-centred philosophy.
• Motivate and guide students in developing their attributes, skills, and knowledge.
• Build positive and responsive relationships with students, addressing their unique needs.
• Continuously monitor and assess student progress through various evaluation methods.
• Offer objective and informative feedback and reports on student achievement.
• Contribute to our broader educational vision and ethos.

You Will:

• Have recent experience as a Teaching Assistant or a similar role, or possess relevant life experience and a genuine enthusiasm for working with students aged 7+.
• Acquire knowledge or demonstrate a willingness to learn about the National curriculum and additional support needs.
• Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills.
