The Planetary Health Initiative is SDGHI’s newest strategic initiative. Planetary health pertains to the integrated state of health of both people and the planet. Addressing these interlocking challenges requires concerted actions within and beyond the health sector, spanning diverse disciplines and nations.

• Engage in groundbreaking research and development in the field of synthetic organic chemistry, peptide chemistry.
• Investigate and explore new ideas and concepts by defining experiments in order to verify proof of principle.
• Collaborate with biologists constantly to develop novel linker-payloads for next generation Antibody-Drug Conjugates
• Collaborate closely with project team members and other cross-functional groups in the organization.
• Submit and present project updates and reports in verbal and written formats.
• Write invention disclosures and possible patent applications.
• Manage and prioritize daily assignments to ensure timely completion.
• Attend and participate in scheduled planning meetings and/or status meetings.
• Manage and maintain required reagents, laboratory environment, and equipment needed to carry out assignments.
• Adhere to safety and regulatory requirements
• Transfer new products from R&D to Manufacturing.
• Responsible for sustaining products to address customer needs
• Writing SOP and work instruction according to Quality management standards and requirements.

Requirements

• PhD in synthetic organic chemistry with 5 years relevant experience.
• R&D experience in multi-step small molecule synthesis, peptide synthesis
• Proficient in operating analytical equipment and applying analytical chemistry principles
• Experience with new product development is a plus
• Strong understanding of instrumentation principles and troubleshooting ability.
• Strong understanding of synthetic chemistry
• Strong understanding of Analytical chemistry principles
• Record of accomplishment should be demonstrated by publications or patents
• Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple tasks with different priorities
• Ability to make independent decisions and possess strong initiative
• Ability to dissect problems with strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Ability to accurately plan, define, and manage projects tasks
• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Capable of working with multi-disciplinary teams.
