About the Role 

The Early Childhood landscape is evolving in South Australia and Flinders is positioning itself at the forefront of these changes to support the Early Childhood workforce. Flinders University is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Lecturer in Early Childhood Education, specialising in birth-5 education and care.

 

As the successful candidate, you will produce quality research and deliver undergraduate and/or postgraduate teaching, and demonstrating expertise in Early Childhood Education, inclusive of birth to 5 years across the programme.

About You 

To be successful, you have completed a PhD, or equivalent qualification in Early Childhood Education or related field. You have high-level and in-depth knowledge and experience of birth-5 Early Childhood Education and Care, including child development, infant and preschool education, and play pedagogies.

 

You possess excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills and can build effective relationships with staff, students, and external stakeholders in the industry.

 

Some of the key position capabilities of the role include:

•          Demonstrated evidence of, or capacity to, undertake high quality contemporary teaching in a tertiary environment, including involvement in topic coordination and Early Childhood curriculum design.

Overall purpose of the Learning & Development Partner

The Learning & Development Partner’s role is to work with the Divisional lead and key stakeholders to identify staff induction and practice development learning requirements and address these through the design, deployment and delivery of a wide range of learning interventions.

Learning and Development (Delivery and Design)

The Learning and development partner is an accomplished and experienced professional within both learning & development and children’s social care.
They will be an experienced facilitator of learning and deliver a wide range of agreed training to staff across the Cambian group including induction, refresher and developmental courses. The courses they will deliver include topics such as safeguarding, medication administration, risk assessment, positive behaviour support interventions (including the use of breakaway and physical holds), first aid, attachment theory, childhood development, trauma, child sexual exploitation (CSE) etc.
In addition to delivering standard courses they will also work with the Divisional lead Learning and Development Partner to identify learning needs and develop a range of learning interventions to meet these needs. They will design learning interventions that meet the highest accepted standards of design, be learner centred, innovative, demanding and result in improved practice. They will be able to design range of interventions including face to face workshops and distance learning (e.g. workbooks and eLearning).
Online delivery of training via webinars will also be essential. Access to a stable and reliable internet connection is necessary.
In both the delivery and design of learning they will demonstrate a solid understanding of children’s services and will draw on their own experience of working in the sector, up to date research, recognised best practice and the relevant legal and regulatory frameworks. Where required they will lead on projects to develop learning interventions with the support of their manager.

Stakeholder Collaboration and Management

The Learning and development partner will work effectively and collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders both internally and externally. They will have an excellent understanding of all parts of the Cambian group and will ensure they establish high levels of respect and trust with all stakeholders. They will form good relationships with organisations and individuals externally who are recognised industry experts on key topics e.g. BILD.

The Learning and development partner will have a high degree of self-awareness and will constantly develop and improve their knowledge and practice through a number of approaches including reflective practice, attending external and internal learning events, researching topics and conversations with colleagues and peers. • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as an Optometrist.

We're looking for a Depot Training Delivery Lead to join us and help us deliver our Biggleswade depot's training plan. Biggleswade depot is still a relatively new depot with lots of opportunity to continue to shape and develop our training culture.

Andrew is an International Event Rider & Trainer based at Northill in Bedfordshire.
Andrews team is paramount to his success and he's very grateful to them all for their ongoing support & hard work for which the new apprentice would be part of.
As well as competing up to 5* Andrew offers a range of services including backing & schooling horses, competing owners horses and training and clinics.


The applicant must have prior experience as the horses are strong and fit so riding ability is necessary and happy to go to competitions and a chance to work with horses from 4 year olds to 5* event horses.
There will be training towards riding on offer and the opportunity to groom at top events throughout the eventing season.
The candidate must be keen and willing to learn.
All general yard duties such as: Mucking out and laying beds, Filling hay nets & making feeds, Turning out/bringing in & changing rugs and Paddock and yard maintenance.

Full training through the Equine Apprenticeship supported by Haddon Training.
