• Manages the Wing Commander's Contingency Fund and use of Non-appropriated Funds. Authorizes and commits government funds within the area of responsibility and makes authorized payments. Assists in the justification, preparation and submission of protocol budget according to guidance provided by the budget office. Prepares funding requests to support official visits. Submits detailed vouchers following each visit that is paid in full or part from the contingency fund. Tracks all gifts and recipients and provides input to status of report of funds activities. Accomplishes research and advises as to the propriety of expenditures to ensure compliance with Air Force and DOD directives.
• Directs the submission and maintenance of protocol rosters, reports and correspondence. Directs the data collection and preparation of reports for distribution to 49th Wing senior staff and tenant unit organizations upon request. Oversees the development and updating of informal visitor brochures. Oversees the development and maintenance of visitor and other protocol information files. Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the third most common cancer globally. Development of therapeutic strategies targeting novel cell types is the need of the hour for CRC treatment. We are looking for candidates keen on working at the intersection of cancer biology, imaging, spatial omics and computational biology to correlate results from cutting-edge technologies to clinical outcome of colorectal cancer (CRC). Opportunity to perform high-throughut chemical screens on cell lines and patient-derived tumor cells. We are looking to hire someone who is interested in doing wet lab experiments. The candidate will be trained in the lab however, prior experience will be given first preference.

The main responsibilities of the position include:

a) Research tasks: 90%

• To perform cell-based assay such as apoptosis, cytoxociity, cell proliferation, immunophenotyping, BH3 profiling.
• Processing of human primary leukemia samples to isolate mononuclear cells and process for flow cytometry.
• To harvest cells, protein, RNA or DNA from animal tissues, cell lines or bacteria.
• To perform experiments including PCR, immunoprecipitation and Western blot.

(b) Laboratory safety/ordering: 10%

• To aid in ordering and maintaining lab supplies.
• To create and review standard operating procedures and risk assessments.
• To assemble reagents, chemicals and media that are needed for experiments.

Qualifications

Qualifications / Discipline:

Bachelor of Science required with major in biological sciences or related field (such as pharmacy, biomedical engineering, life science, etc). Strong background in molecular and cellular biology is preferred.

Skills:

The applicant must be a self-starter with the ability to work well within a team environment, and able to work on his/her own with minimal daily supervision. The individual is expected to be able to multi-task and be well organized, both require good time management skills; pay careful attention to experimental details, and have excellent communication skills. English language reading, writing, and speaking skills required.

Experience:

We will consider a Bachelor's or Master’s degree with or without experience. Additional experience in molecular biology, handling of animals, clinical samples or primary tumors, flow cytometry and fluorescent microscopy will be viewed favorably. Background in apoptosis or leukemia biology is a plus. Candidates with prior knowledge of large data-set analysis will also be preferred. Proficient computer skills are expected with competency in Word, Excel, etc. We are looking for candidates who have at least one year of availability and can start immediately.

Chugai Pharmabody Research Pte. Ltd. Senior Scientist – Protein Analysis Unit

As a Senior Scientist in CPR, you will leverage your passion and creativity to lead an innovative antibody drug project through a characterization of drug candidates, collaborating with other multi-disciplinary teams to achieve a milestone of a project. The candidate will play a key role to drive our innovative drug discovery project and technology development by characterizing its properties with biochemistry and biophysics analysis.

Job Scope:

- Lead the affinity screening assay of antibody during optimization phase using SPR analysis or BLI analysis.

- Plan and conduct antibody/ligand binding analysis.

- Plan and conduct biophysical analysis to evaluate physicochemistry properties of antibody.

- Novel protein analysis technology development.

- Developability and manufacturability assessment of antibody drug.

Job Requirements

The applicant is recommended to have experience in at least one of the following areas:

- Analysis of protein-protein interactions (SPR, BLI, ELISA)

- Column chromatography analysis (IE, SE, RP etc.)

- DLS, DSC, solubility test, stability test

- LCMS analysis of proteins

The applicant must have completed and be awarded with a relevant Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Science/Biochemistry/Chemical Biology/Biotechnology/Life Science/Pharma Science with 1-2 years of working experience in a related field.

Scientists with strong passion in medical science for creating and delivering innovative drugs to society which leads to saving patients suffering from unmet medical needs are highly desired. You should also possess good command of spoken and written English, excellent organizational and communication skills, team player mindset, as well as the ability to multi-task.
