The Senior Researcher Advanced Materials Technologies:

• Leads strategic planning for new technical capability in emerging fields of materials research and technology and provides recommendations on strategic investments and technology forecasting to Agency and Center leadership in Aeronautics and Space Exploration.
• Conducts systematic, intensive research to further knowledge in advanced/high-performance materials that have general applicability for use by others.
• Represents Langley on Agency technical teams/committees/panels responsible for problem solving.
• Demonstrated recognition of technical excellence through current peer-reviewed publications.
• Represents Langley on technical panels/committees; delivers expertise in planning and investigation teams; demonstrates technical leadership and innovation through principal role on funded projects.

• As an Executive Support Specialist, you will perform the following duties which is not an all-inclusive list:
• Manage workflow and overall quality and efficiency of day-to-day staff operations.
• Oversee the administrative management program.
• Receives and reviews all correspondence sent through the administrative management office and performs extensive coordination with the appropriate staff or operating official for tasking them and establishing suspenses.
• Responsible for alerting Director on emergency and important matters.
• Research available background data, tasks subordinate staff as deemed necessary, assembles requested information, or follows up to see that subordinate offices submit required answers within the specified timeframe.
• Provides administrative support to the DCS G-1/4/9 including receiving telephone calls and visitors, screening those that can be handled personally.
• Maintains the DCS G-1/4/9 calendar of official and social engagements, ensuring that supervisor and staff are fully briefed on matters to be considered before the scheduled meeting.
• Provides input to the TRADOC Long Range Calendar.
• Orchestrates the DCS G-1/4/9 portion of the Orientation Program for senior officials at HQ TRADOC and the Schools/Centers.

• As an Executive Officer, you will perform the following duties which is not an all-inclusive list:
• Analyzes problems and other issues to determine the best and most appropriate course of action.
• Lead strategic initiative and innovative planning efforts for directorate.
• Coordinates administrative matters that cross organizational lines and ensures an open communication between organizations while addressing a number of issues for which the incumbent has specific administrative oversight responsibility.
• Develops, reviews, and interprets various regulations and directives pertaining to administration and management of G-1/4/9 missions and responsibilities.
• Assist in the direction, supervision, and coordination of staff activities.
• Tasks divisions and office staff to accomplish various actions on behalf of the DCS and ADCS and reports the status of such actions.
• Draft policies, evaluations, speeches and directives on behalf of executive.
