Research Intern Recruitment

As a Research Intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our Research Analyst to develop trading and investment ideas for the company. This internship is designed to provide you with valuable research experience and mentorship, allowing you to contribute to meaningful projects while honing your investment acumen.

This internship may require flexibility in your work hours. Please note that, on occasion, you may be required to work overnight hours between 9:00 PM and 2:00 AM as part of covering the US markets. These instances will be scheduled in advance and communicated to interns.

Job Description

- Keeping up to date with market news, developments, and economic trends.

- Learn & operate OAC’s proprietary processes to assist with idea generation.

- Develop ideas by researching, examining company profiles and market data using Bloomberg or other online research portals.

- Ad hoc projects assigned from time to time to assist with improving operational processes at OAC.

Skills and Qualifications Requirement

- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to details.

- Self-driven and able to work effectively under pressure.

- Possess a strong interest in understanding the global financial markets.

- A finance or programming diploma/degree is preferred but not an absolute requirement.

- Proficient in using online research services such as SeekingAlpha, Substack, Value Investors Club etc.

- Some knowledge in using Bloomberg terminal preferred.

- Strong proficiency in Excel preferred. VBA knowledge a plus.

- Candidates with minimal experience are welcome to apply.

- Minimal 6 months full-time internship commitment, with December 2024 start dates preferred

Asia Insight covers 14 countries across the Asia Pacific region and is a unique blend of client-side and strategic marketing experience. Interns will get a glimpse into the workings of a market research consultancy and learn the ropes of the corporate world. Asia Insight also uses the internship platform to source for and assess potential research consultants to join the company upon graduation.

Overview of Responsibilities

• Assist research consultants in all aspects of research projects, such as project setup, co-ordination and management, data collection, and data analysis
• Opportunities for direct exposure with focus groups and other meetings where clients are present.

You will assist in executing marketing campaigns, conducting market research, drafting content for social media and email marketing, updating social media promotions, and supporting the creation of marketing collaterals.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing and executing marketing campaigns.
• Conduct market research and analyze marketing data.
• Draft content for social media posts, email newsletters, and promotional materials.
• Update social media promotions and maintain social media channels.
• Use Canva to create graphics and visual content for marketing materials.
• Support the creation of marketing collaterals such as brochures, flyers, and presentations.
• Monitor and report on the performance of marketing activities.

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
• Proficiency in using Canva or similar graphic design tools is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
