The Bennett Science Department is an exciting and dynamic context in which to work. Science has a central place in our curriculum, alongside Mathematics and English, at all stages and for all students. This commitment is realised in a number of ways. Science is taught to all students in Years 7 to 9. Following a review of the science curriculum, all students from Year 7 to 9 follow a mastery curriculum with a carefully planned progression through the three separate sciences. The Languages curriculum aims to give our students the opportunity to acquire new knowledge, skills and ways of thinking through the ability to understand and respond to a rich range of authentic spoken and written material including literary texts. Working in partnership withDartford Grammar School, the Academy is one of only 19 schools in England to have been chosen.

Under the Language Hub initiative, the Academy will take the lead in promoting language studies amongst students, spanning from Primary school to GCSEs. It will also be aiming to enhance language offerings within schools and ensure that all students aged 14-18 have the opportunity to pursue language studies through to Key Stage 5.
