The Role
SIA-NUS Digital Aviation Lab at the National University of Singapore (NUS) offers an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Research Engineer in Work Package 4. The work package focuses on developing innovations in the following key strategic areas related to passengers’ inflight experience, mainly in Enhancements to SIA’s Cabin Seat Product Offerings, Novel Features for SIA’s Next Generation Aircraft Cabins for Sleep Improvement and Pushing SIA’s Superior Customer Experience to New Heights with an Advanced Connected Cabin.
The duties and responsibilities for this role includes collaborating with other team members (which includes Software Engineers, Hardware Engineers, Data Analyst and Industrial Designer) in the WP and the Corp Lab . The candidate would be tasked to help to formulate and publish papers for the project and develop the Behaviour Science related work that team is working on.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design or Psychology
- Ability to synthesize research findings, uncover and articulate insights that will inform and inspire design.
- Ability to translate filter insights and translate them into design concepts, an products and services.
- Strong communication skills.
- Previous track record in publishing papers in journal will be a plus.
