SUMMARY: The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the early childhood education specialist or youth development specialist for child and youth programs including child development centers, family child care, school-age, youth programs, and unique child care programs. To train program staff, volunteers, contractors, family child care providers, administrative, and food service staff.

DUTIES:

• Oversees curricula for child development centers, family child care programs, school-age, youth programs and other unique children's programs.
• Creates a work environment that supports ongoing professional development and continuous quality improvement through observation, coaching, mentoring, collaborative learning, training and reflective practice.
• Supports children who may have special needs or complex behaviors.
• Develops plans to improve overall operations, correct identified deficiencies, and enhance developmental programs and services.
• Represents all programs with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.

The primary purpose of this position is: to serve as an aircraft simulator and academic instructor for students enrolled in Mission Qualification Training (MQT), Instructor Upgrade Training (IPUG), Instrument Refresher Course (IRC), and Continuation Training (CT) programs designed to provide proficiency in the unit's primary tasked mission of High Altitude Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance (HAISR).

• Applying aviator experience, serves as a simulator instructor for rated students in the full range of aircraft maneuvering and sensor employment
• Applying aviator experience, serves as courseware SME and academic instructor for rated students
• Analytical, advisory, management, technical and functional support for ISR system development and employment
• Performs all duties related to accomplishment of the unit operational and training mission
• Interfaces with units/staff for detailed training syllabus updates, and exercise plans
• Monitors and evaluates student progress and performance

SUMMARY: The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Education Services Officer (ESO) in providing professional and specialized administrative and technical assistance in the development of the education services program at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada, and serve as a lead professional education services specialist providing general adult educational and career development counseling in a joint service environment.

DUTIES:

• Project Officer for on-base school programs and overall educational outreach.
• Project Officer for the installation for the Transition, Goals Performance, Success (T-GPS) Accessing Higher Education (AHE) Track, Military Life Cycle (MLC) and the AF SkillBridge programs.
• Administers individual, career, and academic advisement to military personnel of all ranks, their dependents, and civilian personnel pursuing undergraduate/graduate, vocational, technical, licensure/certification, and professional development opportunities at various levels.
• Budget Manager for Non-Personal Services Contracts (NPSC) and Government-Wide Purchase Program (GPC).
• Serves as primary Test Control Officer (TCO) for Air University (AU) testing program (CDC & PME), Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES), Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT), Defense Language Aptitude Battery (DLAB) and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) testing.
