As a uniformed employee with the National Park Service, the incumbent serves as a deckhand aboard the park's 49-passenger vessel, the Voyageur, a USGS approved tour boat vessel. The deckhand will work under the supervision of the boat captain and assist the boat captain with boat operations, docking procedures, and safety needs. Deckhands will be prepared for on-time departures for all trips. Deckhands will arrive on the boat 30 minutes prior to a scheduled trip to aid the captain in moving the boat to the passenger loading dock. They will assist the captain in checking safety items. They may need to spot clean and tidy up the boat prior to passengers boarding. Deckhands will be permitted to perform other duties such as food service or interpretive programs provided that they can readily respond to their regularly assigned deckhand duties and responsibilities. During docking and undocking procedures, the first priority of the deckhand is to assist the captain. In an emergency or with a "major incident" onboard the boat, the first priority is to assist the captain in correcting the situation. Deckhands will be friendly, courteous, and helpful with visitors and other boat crewmembers. Deckhands will provide visitors with correct park information and direct visitors to the visitor center for additional information when questions are asked and the answer is unknown.

50-ton: Serve as a boat captain in command of a 49-foot and 59-foot sightseeing vessel powered by a two Cummins 610-hp engines used to transport up to 35 and 49 paying passengers on the park interpretive trips and charters on Rainy, Kabetogama, and Namakan Lakes. MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Provides total care of the Veterans' medical needs by performing history and physical exam, ordering appropriate lab tests, radiology studies, screening studies. 3. Responsible for completing patient encounters, notes, and correctly coding visits in accordance with coding guidelines.
4. Acts as the focal point of the designated outpatient clinic by being the contact person for all other consultant services regarding patient care, and providing consults for Primary Care department to other services.
5. Provides assistance to the Primary Care Department with regard to duties to assist the service that may be requested. These may include, but not be limited to, assisting in data assimilation for VA reports, quality assurance programs, or others as determined by the Chief of Primary Careor Chief of Staff.
6. Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served in Sioux Falls VAMC Primary Care Department. The individual must demonstrate the knowledge of the changes associated with aging and possess the ability to provide care based upon physical, psycho/social, cultural, safety and other age related factors as noted in the competencies described in departmental and/or unit specific policies and procedures.

The Sioux Falls Veteran's Affair Healthcare System (SFVAHCS) Community Care (CC) Registered Nurse (RN) Clinical Coordinator who functions independently and has a high level of initiative, innovation, and resourcefulness. He/she is responsible to coordinate the episodic care of Veterans, who are seeking treatment using a community provider or need urgent referral for community services. He/she will serve as a resource to the community vendors regarding VA processes in using Third Party Administrator and Mission Act. Performs care coordination daily for the CC Veteran population including low and highly complex care needs which is also defined further as performing case management, direct communication with interdisciplinary teams (IDT), chronic disease management and monitoring, and coordination of needed services.
