Manpower Print & Packaging have been retained by one of our prestigious partners, a well-known group and historical brand within their industry, with a first-class product and robust customer base and supply chain, as they look to engage a Group Customer Service Manager (Best Practices & OpEx) due to `both strategic investment and growth within the group, but equally their desire to continuously IMPROVE & GROW and raise their own internal standards, but raise that of the industries for their customers. This will be a key role within the group reporting directly to the Group Managing Director, forming strong relationships with other key senior stakeholders across the group (3 sites), but equally to lead and motivate a medium sized team across multiple sites (although this is singular site based and therefore will require a blend of both remote and in-person team leadership), ensuring a consistent, harmonious, 'one team' group approach to customer satisfaction.

As a Family Support Assistant, you will be committed to enabling families to manage their problems and access support and advice quickly, equipping parents to be the best they can be for their child, by increasing knowledge, confidence, and resilience. You will undertake direct work with parents to find out what they are worried about and what goals they want to work towards using a whole family approach.

You may be the co-ordinator of Early Help Plans to assess each member of the family and agree outcomes that the family and professionals around them will work towards. You will use a strengths-based approach to support and sustain positive change that improves outcomes for children and young people.

You will help to provide a safe and welcoming space for young people through the Find It Out (FIO) offer.

You must have experience of working with families along with a good understanding of the importance of parenting skills and community development, as well as the challenges of family life.

Experience and Skills

Key Skills:

• Good communication and interpersonal skills across a range of audiences, with an ability to present information verbally and in writing which is clear, concise and accurate. Able to provide specialist advice and guidance whilst maintaining trust with families who may otherwise not want to engage with services they may distrust.
• Strong customer focus with the ability to work as a key contact and provide a professional service to meet customer's needs, both individually and in groups.
• Ability to respond sensitively and flexibly to diverse groups of providers and families whilst maintaining confidentiality.
• Ability to organise/prioritise work, co-ordinate a variety of tasks in a clear and logical way and meet agreed deadlines.
• Ability to work within recognised procedures, able to effectively organise own workload.

Qualifications and/or experience:

• NVQ level 3 in childcare, play work, family support or related area and/or relevant experience working with parents, carers and children.
• Good knowledge of child development.
• Good understanding of the importance of parenting skills and community development with an understanding of the challenges of family life.
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
• Experience of working with families in a community setting.
• Experience of working within the early years, family support, family centre or child health sector

About the Procurement Officer role

As Procurement Officer you will:


Support Managers with all aspects of procurement and tendering for designated procurement projects providing professional advice and support at all stages, to ensure that an appropriate and legally compliant process is followed throughout.
Administer procurement systems including the e-tendering system and contracts register for designated procurement projects and contracts.
Monitor and obtain risk and credit reports on the suppliers, as requested from the Credit and Risk Reporting System.
Maintain a pipeline for all procurements relating to the designed categories.
Support Managers with all aspects of contract monitoring and management for designated contracts. Ensuring standards are set, met, and maintained and appropriate processes are followed where this is not the case.


What makes you our ideal Procurement Officer?


Qualified to degree level (MCIPS qualified/graduate level) or equivalent managerial qualification, or able to demonstrate significant level of graduate calibre experience at a senior level in a relevant sector, ideally Procurement and Supply
Experience of managing procurement processes, ideally in a public sector environment
Ability to prioritise workloads and demonstrate effective planning and organisational skills
Experience of managing procurement processes in a public sector environment
Experience of managing contracts and supplier relationship
IT literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel and Word
