The following are the duties of this position at the full working level.

• Under the guidance of call site management, the incumbent utilizes on-line tools including Aspect, Customview, Webview, and Electronic Workforce Management (eWFM) to identify and react to real-time telephone staffing issues.
• Monitors and tracks employee time usage through the daily use of Real Time Adherence (RTA). Communicate real-time adherence issues to operation management for immediate resolution and/or to account for the employee by inputting the proper exception into eWFM or similar system.
• Notifies management of operational performance issues such as long wrap up of phone calls, lunch and daily breaks.
• Maintains a log of operational performance issues, staffing, and system problems.
• Monitors adherence to schedule by on-line tool applications.

• Receives children, youth, parents, and other visitors in a courteous and professional manner. Answers telephones, ascertains nature of call, and directs caller to appropriate staff.
• Ensures parents, children, youth, and visitors properly sign into the program prior to passing the reception area of the facility. Monitors children’s departure to ensure only authorized individuals remove them from the building.
• Registers/terminates children/youth within the CYS program and/or waiting list database. Utilizes the Child and Youth Management System (CYMS) to record transactions for customers and to enter data into predefined categories for reports and tracking.
• Provides administrative support including mail preparation, copying, distribution, correspondence, memorandums, briefings, Daily Activity Reports, and other requirements for day-to-day operations.
• Articulates policies relating to patron fees, waiting lists, enrollments, terminations, and program events. Coordinates vacancies and reservations for the hourly care program as required.

1. Performs nutritional assessment in newly admitted HBPC patients to identify patients at nutritional risk, to obtain pertinent information on eating patterns, economic situation, cultural background, compliance/comprehension of previous diets and other factors influencing nutrient intake and food tolerances/preferences and preparation. Evaluates nutritional assessments, reviews and interprets pertinent diagnostic and treatment data, and develops, implements, and monitors the nutrition care plan through the physician. The dietician initiates laboratory tests to more accurately assess nutritional status. Monitor laboratory values closely and recommends appropriate changes in diet prescriptions to the physician.

2. Develops and implements an individualized plan for medical nutrition therapy in accordance with the patient's medical program goals and objectives. Accurately obtains and interprets medical information pertinent to the patient's nutritional care to determine risk, assess nutritional status and develop individual specialized care plans to simultaneously address several disease processes.

3. Calculates nutritional requirements (calories, protein, carbohydrates, lipids, vitamins, electrolytes, fluid) and necessary diet restrictions or food/drug interactions. Diet prescribed is tailored to each individual client according to physical and metabolic needs. Designs the nutritional treatment plan with consideration for psychosocial, behavioral, ethnic and cultural factors to obtain desirable outcomes and promote long term adherence to a medical nutritional care plan.

4. Formulates therapeutic plans for specialized nutrition support, including enteral nutrition. Identifies patients in need of nutrition support and recommends the appropriate mode of nutrition support, including suitable route, formula and rate of administration. Provides initial and on-going nutritional assessments of receiving central nutrition. Utilizes assessment and evaluation techniques that consider age-specific needs as well as cultural, religious, and ethnic concerns.

5. Orders labs, diets and consults per Scope of Practice/Clinical privileges.

6. Evaluates and monitors the effectiveness and outcome of medical nutrition therapy interventions. Evaluates the patient's response to care based on identified, measurable outcomes and reviews the plan as appropriate.

7. Assesses the adequacy of the caregiver's capacity to prepare recommended meals.

8. Documents nutrition care plan in the patient's medical record, including nutrition assessment data, medical nutrition therapy initiated and recommendation's, results of nutrition counseling and discharge planning from HBPC. Documentation supports and interdisciplinary approach and continuity of care.

9. Advises HBPC patients and caregivers of community nutritional services available.

• YOU WILL/MAY:
• Ensure that regulated establishments produce a safe product by executing appropriate inspection methods, determining non-compliance with regulatory requirements, documenting noncompliance and initiating enforcement action, where warranted.
• Verify that meat and poultry slaughter and/or processing establishment's Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) Plans meet regulatory requirements.
• Execute Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) Plans effectively to prevent unsanitary conditions and adulteration of product.
• Review records, observe plant operations and conduct hands-on verification to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and prepare detailed documentation (Non-Compliance Records) of non-compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Determine when regulatory control action is necessary. You will assess whether the plant's corrective or preventative actions are acceptable and effective, if there are trends in non-compliance, or if enforcement action is warranted.
• Conduct regulatory oversight activities inside plants in matters relating to other consumer protections (e.g., economic adulteration and misbranding).
• Have contact with plant managers, owners and others to explain legal and regulatory requirements, discuss operation of the plant's SSOP, HACCP plan and other food safety programs.
• Communicate and defend determinations on non-compliance issues and discuss plans for addressing non-compliance.
• Work with a variety of individuals to resolve problems, clarify differences of interpretation concerning HACCP and other food safety or consumer protection requirements.
• Advise other Agency inspectors, supervisors and officers on inspection and enforcement matters for which you are involved.
• Conduct various samplings, surveys and tests to obtain pertinent data on potential problem areas, industry trends, or other issues of current interest to the Agency.
• Be involved in performing health and safety verification sampling and tests for detection of specific microbes (e.g., salmonella, listeria, etc.), residues or contaminants.
• Assure that products approved for import are in full compliance with all applicable Federal regulations governing the importation of meat and poultry products.
• Authorize entry of all meat or poultry products considered to comply with Federal regulations or refuse entry of any products which violate any of the requirements for admission into this country.
• Coordinate with other Federal agencies (e.g., the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) on such matters as animal health restrictions and refused entry lots.

• Reviews patient accounts to determine the status of the account, making standard adjustments that require special analysis and prepare and process a variety of documents necessary for the maintenance and follow-up of all outstanding patient accounts.
• Performs work consisting of examination for accuracy, adequacy of documentation or citation, compliance with regulations, and justification of claims and other requests for payment for such purposes as medical care and treatment.
• Review delinquent patient account records, following up with responsible parties via telephone and correspondence according to organization policy and procedures.
• Maintains files system of patient accounts for follow-up with responsible parties. Examine accounts to resolve difficult reconciliation's requiring an analysis of adjustments and corrective entries in the patient account system.
• Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual reports utilizing the Accounts Receivable program. Reporting any discrepancies to the supervisor, providing all supporting documents and recommending resolution.

Duties include but not limited to:

Performing the following tasks during the clinic visit:- Reviews information from outside providers- Conducts history and physical exam- Assesses patient's clinical condition- Formulates treatment plans- Completes provider-specific clinical reminders- Reviews test and procedure results- Completes patient referrals in CPRS- Manages patient's medication (including medicine reconciliation)- Gives medical and lifestyle advice and counseling

• Directly assists the Agency Forester and Fire Management Officer and the Office of the Superintendent in performing administrative tasks that support the administrative functions
• Provides detailed cost analyses and control of all personnel, vehicles, procurements, contracts, and other administrative costs of the program.

As a Fish and Wildlife Biologist your duties will include but are not limited to the following:

• Work with private landowners, agency representatives, and others to develop and implement habitat management plans.

The MSA was established to ensure assistance to Veterans providing a smooth process for the management of Veteran's outpatient appointments as well as support work of the Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT). The MSA coordinates with the Clinical Team to review the clinic utilization by using various reports (i.e. Clinic Utilization Statistical Summary), ensure that the clinic setup is closely monitored to effectively support the needs of the clinic, and make any necessary adjustments. The MSA develops/maintains effective and efficient communication with the patient, interdisciplinary team, VA Medical Centers, and other agencies (e.g. assist with communications during the inpatient to outpatient discharge; communicate with non-VA medical facilities by fax; facilitate/process secure messaging with the patient and team; develop and manage a tracking system for follow up care as such consults, tests, etc.)

Major duties include, but are not limited to:

• Instructing employees in the numerous clerical procedures of the different services or any tour of duty.
• is responsible for maintaining patient confidentiality with respect to the Privacy Act.
• Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• Serving as a key contact for veterans and visitors, providing information and assistance, and acting on administrative matters in the veterans' interest. Gives messages lo patients, doctors, nurses, other multi-disciplinary team members and responds to routine inquiries (i.e., where a patient has been transferred, appointments, etc.). Refers questions concerning patient's condition to the nurse.
• Incumbent may be designated as a member of committees. Participates in quantitative and qualitative reviews of medical records to assure conformance with VA and Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organization standards and orients professional staff in requirements for compliance. Such reviews will include verification and completion of physician's orders, patient allergies, and demographics information obtained by routine chart audits.
• Accurately and legibly transcribes physician's orders as per established policies and procedures assuring that the appropriate patient identification is present. Evaluations and treatment with other supporting disciplines within the Medical Center are coordinated for timely completion and to avoid schedule conflicts. In the case of medication/treatment orders, assures that the times the medications/treatments are to be administered are correct and sends a copy to the pharmacists. Prepares request forms for such things as - rays and consultations as prescribed on the doctor's order sheet. Employee will check off, date, time and initial orders verifying completion.
• Orders expendable supplies monthly and stocks main station areas with proper forms when assigned to wards.
• Reviews charts, assembles, and maintains the medical record forms in proper order for use by the physicians and nursing personnel in accordance with Medical Center policy and procedure.
• Keeps current on clerical duties related to final discharge care of patient (i.e., eligibility, travel, appointments, prescriptions, prosthetics, and nursing referrals). Schedules follow-up appointments in the computer system. Responsible for breaking down charts, according to an established protocol for all discharges, assuring that all forms have the appropriate patient demographics. Responsible for recharging carts when appropriate.
• The incumbent will utilize equipment such as computer terminals, printers, typewriters, imprinters, and localized fax machines.
• Routes prescriptions to pharmacy; independently or as a team member, performs the clerical duties of the ward unit relevant to ongoing patient medications and treatments.
• The incumbent will have a thorough knowledge of medication terminology/abbreviations and procedures for recording physicians' orders, especially for identifying generic and brand names of chemical compounds and to accurately transcribe drug names, dosages, and time of administration.
